List of Falls River Village's Reviews
I recently toured Falls River Village Assisted Living and Memory Care with my grandmother to explore options for my grandfather. Both communities, whether for everyday assisted living or memory care, impressed us with their exceptional cleanliness. The staff was wonderful, and the residents appeared genuinely happy. Our tour guide, Virginia "Ginger," stood out as incredibly knowledgeable, attentive, and just all around a great person . We gathered valuable information, and though my granddad isn't ready to move yet, we've decided that Falls River Village is the top choice for him when he transitions from independent living. Highly recommend!
I’ve just returned from a 4 day visit with my sister who is a resident at Falls River Village. I can honestly say that it was one of the most fun-filled, rewarding, and relaxing visits I’ve had in a long time! I cannot say enough good things about Falls River Village! The food was delicious! The staff was caring and friendly! The other residents, who are now Sandy’s friends, were delightful! I left with my mind and heart relieved that she was in a great place, being taken well care of, and excitement about a return visit! Falls River Village exceeded all of my expectations!! I will be returning during Thanksgiving and hope to find that nothing has changed! I understand that there have been changes in the ownership/staff and hope that there has been a smooth transition.
My father was a resident here in December 2021 and briefly in January this year. Unfortunately as a result of an incident with another resident he was pushed down and received severe head trauma and passed in February. We hold no ill will toward the other resident but the response of the facility immediately after the incident and since has been absolutely atrocious. After my father was taken away from the facility by the EMS they never followed up to ask how he was, and repeated follow ups by myself and family members to obtain refunds for money already paid have been met with mostly silence. We have also since learned from family members of other residents that they have allowed residents of the Memory Care Unit to escape the facility on multiple occasions without notifying the family. While my father was a resident the overall care by the staff was subpar- he lost 20 lbs in only a month even though we were told he was eating, his things were misplaced, and he fell multiple times even though they were aware he was a fall risk. The general responsiveness before and after the incident was almost nonexistent. Multiple follow ups have been met with silence,no matter how trivial the ask. Anytime that we visited they acted like we were a burden whenever we had questions about my father‘s well-being. I would never recommend this facility to anyone.
If I could give this place 0 stars I would. My agency sent me here to help out as a cna this place is unprofessional. They double diaper their residents so that they don’t have to keep changing them. The director of memory care has no professionalism, she does not interact with her residents, do not know how to communicate at all . Last but not least she comes to work with her hair standing on top of her head. That’s no way to represent yourself as a Director . The med tech Tobias is annoying , he has no life. The staff here are miserable literally. The activity coordinator comes to work and do nothing with residents, they make their cna’s do activities. Don’t send your family here warning ‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️
Before COVID when we could visit our loved one in this facility on a daily basis things were ok. While we understand that closing the facility due to COVID was a necessary step, our loved one went steadily downhill as soon as the facility was closed to visitors. She did not receive proper care with hygiene and with medical screenings after the facility was closed to the public resulting in an extended hospital stay. The non-medical staff at this facility is great, but the medical team does not care about the residents. The Executive Director needs to go, she does not make the medical team treat the residents well and with respect. Our loved one was at this facility for 1 1/2 years and it has steadily gone down hill. I would beware about placing your loved one in this facility. UPDATE: 6/29/20 - it is interesting to read the facility's response. Had the Executive Director returned our phone calls like she said she would, she could have learned everything about this situation that she needed to know. She clearly wanted our loved one removed from this facility and dumped her on the hospital for treatment of a routine infection. This has caused our loved one much unnecessary trauma.

This facility banned my husband (who was a therapist employee there) because he forgot to knock on a door where two women were having a meeting. The reason why he had to enter was because he was told that the room supplied the computer to clock in to work. The “area manager” didn’t have the decency to speak with my husband before “banning” him to clear up any misunderstanding or give him the chance to apologize for his unintentional mishap. Fortunately it was only a part time job that doesn’t affect us financially at all. She may think nothing of him, but I am going to put it in God’s hands for the individuals involved in banning a good man professionally and personally from this particular facility, to take care of the matter! “Vengeance is mine, says the Lord”.
The assisted living was great when my mother first went there in late 2012. Multiple staffing changes affected the level of care there. When she was moved to Memory Care it was horrible from Day one...I am so thankful we found her another facility and moved her to TN. We have been gone over 2 years so it may be different now.
Review of Falls River Court-Memory Care: The staff isn't properly trained to work with Alzheimer's patients. My mom was there for 6 months. Thank God they gave us a 45 day notice. She is at Sunrise of Raleigh and happy. While at Falls River Court , she received a bad bite by another resident and a large fungal rash from improper skin care. The last 2 Saturdays she was at Falls River Court, the residents were in a common area and no staff to be seen. 3 residents walked out a side door and only one staff member searched for them on one of those Saturdays.
Clean and bright. Staff is friendly. Food is good.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
