Was thorough and reminded me this is a long process to heal. Set my mind at ease

Front desk staff was superb! Then, the nurse brought me back and stood at the door with the door open while asking why I was there. Looked like she had zero time for me. Then when Dr. Mikles came in, I felt like he could care less about me. Maybe because I was a cash patient? I do not know. I know I was not a high acuity case but he repeatedly stated my pain was not concerning. A 6/10 pain level that I have never had before is concerning to me. I was not wanting nor requesting pain meds, just some help to figure out what is going on. While he did go through what he thought was going on, he did not listen to what I was saying and I had to repeat myself in order for him to hear me since he only wanted to hear what he wanted to. Frustrated with the whole appointment and that I paid so much money for no help.

Dr. Mikles was so thorough in his assessment, and generous with his time and careful explanation of my sacroiliitis diagnoses and treatment. I highly recommend Raleigh Orthopaedics and Dr. Mikles.

Seven weeks post op visit from a lumbar discectomy. Dr. Mikles took time to answer my questions. He was very thorough with next steps in my recovery process. I have been extremely pleased since my initial consultation. He took the time to explain the issues causing the severe pain, the surgical procedure, the results I could anticipate, the recovery process, and the pros and cons of the surgery. I highly recommend.
