This is seriously one of the worst practices I've ever had the misfortune of dealing with and I am a provider myself. Horribly disorganized, lack of compassion or care, they discharged my son from the practice after I complaiend about his medication regimen that was not working for him. I talked to several other colleagues who had the same thoughts about the practice. I would stay away from them if at all possible. Seems like all the good providers have left for other states and all they have left is people who are not sure how to deal with complicated cases.
When I moved to Raleigh in 2017, I needed to find a neurologist. I didn't know where to begin. I called RNA and told the my story. The person said "well let's get you in to see the best." I was skeptical but made an appointment to see Dr. Hull. He was great. He work hard but methodically. From their I went to see the Sleep doc and a the trigger point doc. I was lucky to find these to providers as well.I'm in Salt Lake now and Dr Hull is retired but I try to see Dr. Y when I'm back in town.I can imagine having a child with serious problems. It would be very hard to not lose my cool when dealing with multiple doctors.I'm sorry everyone did get to see the three doc that took care of me. But nothing stays the same and we have to keep on searching. Keep looking up!
Raleigh Neurology Associate is not a good medical neurology practice to go to.If you have an issue with a provider they are on the provider’s side instead of the patient’s side. They do not care about the patient whatsoever. The director of nursing and the nursing staff is rude, unprofessional, not caring to patients and their families. One provider to stay away from is Dr.David Konanc is the most rude, arrogant, not compassionate and caring provider you could ever go to. He is the worse provider I have ever met in my entire life. This is a provider who gives up on his patients and do not believe the patient come first. He is not a trustworthy provider when it comes to your health. His medical license needs to be revoked. Overall, I strongly would not recommend patients to this medical practice because you would be treated like a number and this place do not believe that their patients comes first. They do not believe in giving their patients excellent patient care. I gave this place a 1 because zero was not an option. My true rating for this place would have been a zero.
My daughter has been seeing Dr Scagnelli for a year and he is on top of everything pertaining to her MS since day one.
I have been calling them 3 days in a row to cancel an appointment and nobody has been picking up the call! Its extremely frustrating, I have been on hold for an hour each day, terrible service!
I have been thrilled with Raleigh neurology especially Dr. Rohbottom and Dr. Perkins. I am saddened to see that others have had less positive experiences because mine have been very good.
I’m sure there are good qualities here but that was ruined for me before I even became a patient. I set up an appointment for sleep medicine and I was given the options of the same week or in March (3 months away). I had a meeting at the time of the appt for the same week, but rescheduled it to be able to see a doctor soon. I was told I could do telemedicine instead (after i mentioned my meeting) so i opted for that and they said I’ll be getting a link for the appointment and to join a bit earlier. The day of, I still didn’t get anything. I called, was on hold for at least 15 minutes, and was told it was in-person and the doctor doesn’t do telemed for new patients………… and this was already 3 minutes before the appointment time so it was basically canceled. Pretty disappointing when you’re just trying to improve your quality of life as soon as possible.
I called for an appointment for my daughter who was in a bad car accident. The nurse refused to schedule her, saying they don’t take any car accident victims because they don’t want to have to deal with litigation. My daughter had been treated in the past by this provider, so we thought she could be evaluated since she is their patient, yet they still refused. The staff did not ask any questions or obtain any details about her head injury- just heard “was in an accident” and did not want to treat her. So sad that doctors who take an oath to help others and do no harm refuse to help the very people they are supposed to serve! She did not offer any referrals or anything. She could care less about my daughter’s injuries. Very sad. Duke Neurology, on the other hand, has been amazing- they are so wonderful they are booked for months but are trying to squeeze her in because they actually care about people.
Great place with great doctors and awesome nurses!
I've been a patient at Raleigh Neurology since 2016. Dr. Farrell was administering my Botox injections due to Migraines/Tension Headaches. I also have L eye pain from a long time, which is not related to my headaches. My eye exams have been normal. Every time I was going to my appointments with him, I was mentioning this eye pain and asking what could cause it. The answer was simply: "I don't know" or "Do you want to try this knew pain medication?" He would prescribe a pain medicine, without having an idea what could cause the pain!! He just wanted to get rid of me. Why would he actually THINK and try to help me. After all - he was paid to only administer Botox injections! The last few times I had the feeling he was just annoyed with me and I just stopped going there. Not to mention that I was waiting for over an hour in the exam room. Last month I met with Neurologist at UNC, who was actually LISTENING to what I was saying and she believed me. She ordered the right tests and the diagnosis was clear - Brain Aneurism, close to the optic nerve. I was shocked, angry and disappointed. I could not believe that a neurologist with so much experience, could just ignore my symptoms and not even try to help me or refer me to somebody else, if he is not competent. Cold, arrogant and inpatient. No compassion at all. That is the truth. Please, do your research before you go to Raleigh Neurology!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
