Dr. Garner is a wonderful doctor, his office staff answered all our questions without hesitation and even called us back during their lunch hour for a question clarification.

Dr. Garner & Will listen to why I am there and my symptoms. Dr. Garner works to treat without surgery. He made sure I had the best surgery option when eventually that was my only path. This is a great office!

Absolutely love Dr. Garner. He is very personable, and he truly cares about his patients. He tries everything to keep his patients comfortable within reason. He is not a doctor that jumps straight to surgery. I saw Dr. Garner 18 years ago for two herniated disc in my back. After lots of physical therapy my back has been great until this year. I injured my back again and he tried several different therapies and then decided that it’s time for surgery. The surgical procedure was very quick and I have positive results only 24 hours after surgery. His surgical team is outstanding and the nursing team is amazing. I would highly recommend this office and Dr. Tim Garner.

I recently had fusion/decompression surgery on my spine. I feel incredibly fortunate to have been referred to Dr. Tim Garner and the Raleigh Neurosurgical Clinic by my primary care doctor. Neighbors, friends, my MRI tech and one of his staff members had additionally recommended him in glowing terms. My original consult with he and Dr. Khoury, who teamed with Dr.Garner for my surgery, gave me great confidence in my decision to go forward. They did an excellent job of answering my questions, calming my fears, explaining the procedure, what I should expect regarding pain, medication, timeline of healing, what kind of care I would need, etc. My particular situation was a bit more complex… cerebral palsy on one side, a shorter leg, slight scoliosis, etc., but they were certain my procedure would vastly improve my quality of life and indeed it has. One phrase that seemed to make a big impression on me was “we will not abandon you “ after surgery and they have been good to their word. Everyone in their practice that I have interacted with - from the front desk, to the X-ray technician, to their physician’s assistant, to the office staff are very friendly, knowledgeable, patient and caring. I put off my surgery far too long partially out of fear and partially because I thought I should exhaust other options. I wish I had done my surgery earlier, but that remains my only regret. If you are considering neurosurgery, I highly and confidently recommend Dr. Garner and his team.

If you need a neuro-surgeon look no further. After a month of getting no answers at my primary care office I came to see Dr Garner. I could barely walk into his office. He saw me on a Monday for the first time and operated on me that same Friday. He is a direct, no sugar coating, to the point Dr. My wife and I greatly appreciated that. Dr Garner saw me walk in his office and by my symptoms he could tell where my problem was. X-rays and MRIs that same visit confirmed what he believed was my issue. I was diagnosed with spinal stenosis in the thoracic region T10-T11. He laid everything out from the surgery to how long I could expect to be up and moving around to returning to work. Everything he said I could expect in recovery is exactly how it's going, it's like he's done this a few times or a few hundred. Can't express how highly confident in his abilities I felt going into surgery, he speaks to you with confidence because he speaks from years of experience. The staff from the front desk checking in to the last desk checking out was nothing but professional and compassionate people. I hope I never need Dr Garners expertise again, but if I should he's my first phone call. Thank you and all of the staff.

I’m so thankful for Dr. Garner!! Ten years ago, he followed me for a pituitary adenoma and eventually removed it successfully! Here we are ten years later and the tumor has returned and I find myself back with Dr. Garner and his capable team! My anxiety has decreased since my appointment and his ability to explain my unique needs. Thank you for all you do!

He really listen to You and trust to fix whatever is you are going through. He doesn't rush through exams or conversation with you.
