I loved seeing Dr. LeCompte there and I don't have complaints about the care I received from him. However, this year they implemented a new "hospital fee," which is about $400 out of pocket for every doctor's office visit. This is insane.

Despite having cancer, walking into this hospital feels like stepping into a place filled with genuine hope and kindness – the kind that makes your heart lift no matter how heavy the day was. Dr. McNamara and her entire team are absolute angels. Every nurse, every staff member, every person who even walks by with a smile and compassion. From day one, they made me feel cared for, safe, and supported in a way that I will cherish forever. It's been a 10 out of 10 experience every single day, and I don’t say that lightly. They don’t just treat cancer — they treat people. They give hope, comfort, laughter, reassurance, and strength. Getting cancer was tough, but seeing the kindness and dedication of people like them absolutely is. They’ve shown me that there is real hope in this world, and I’m endlessly grateful. Thank you all so much. You make the hardest journey feel just a little brighter, and that means everything!

I'm currently undergoing cancer treatment. Dr. Boles (oncologist) and Dr. White (thorasic surgeon) have been exceptional. They never rush me and are patient and detailed in answering my questions. It's east to make appointments and I rarely wait more than 5 minutes. I highly recommend UNC Rex Cancer Care in Raleigh.

Trying to make an appointment is extremely difficult. Was referred by a doctor and on many calls advised that they did not have the referral. Once they said they had it - it has to go to another coordinator that is dr specific to try and make appt. Got thru to the coordinator once and she was having phone problems - still no appt and may have to go to another provider.

The new patient registration team decided they would decide when and if I could See a Hematologist Oncologist. For 3 weeks they they kept me from an appointment with a medical expert because THEY felt it wasn't urgent or needed to feel it was urgent. Wendy Bailey and Jennifer Wright the Supervisor both ignored my medical needs refusing to get me an appointment and because of their unqualified decisions I ended up in the hospital for 6 days!!! They knew i needed 3 units of blood on 1/31 and still played their games for over 3 weeks. They should both be fired and never be in positions to do harm to a patient ever again! Who the hell do they think they are blocking me from seeing a Dr because they claimed they needed previous bloodwork to determine the severity of my condition! When, they had access to all of the bloodwork they wanted if they just would have looked . All my bloodwork was done at UNC Health which they had access to. Two administrative nobody's shouldn't be able to deny any patient from seeing a Dr! Both of these women should be relieved of their position immediately. Maybe my complaint with the State Medical Board and the States Attorney Generals office will provide some protection to future patients from these overpowered uneducated power hungry administrative employees. I will at all costs try to avoid ever having to deal with Rex Cancer Care ever again. They may have fine physicians but I was never provided access to any of them. I have taken the time to right this and will take time to file with the medical board and Attorney general to protect future patients. STAY AWAY FROM HERE.

We have been incredibly happy with the staff at this center. Everyone has been so kind and supportive. The center itself is super nice and has a really lovely vibe.

My diagnosis was a tough one to swallow, but this place has supported me in every way possible and I am emotionally at peace with God’s will thanks to the treatment, guidance and support from all staff members at UNC Rex Cancer Center. They all have a special place in my heart and I’m grateful for all they do.

I adore my doctors. I adore the care I receive. Since my cancer diagnosis a couple of months ago, I’ve learned a lot and am so thankful for my treatment team. However, UNC has decided they need to charge $10 for valet parking. If you’ve ever had to have chemo treatment, you probably understand the difficulty of walking any distance, much less having to walk a big distance through a huge parking lot. So many have to go for their treatments alone. Many cannot afford $10 to park every visit. It is such a sad state when a large corporation gets so greedy they put their most ill patients behind their greed. Healthcare in America 😔
