List of Wakemed Hospitals's Reviews
I can’t say enough about the treatment for our son at WakeMed Children’s emergency department. We came to South Carolina from upstate New York for a wedding and our 2 year old son ended up with severe dehydration. They got us right in and we’re so incredibly kind and helpful. I am so thankful from the bottom of my heart for them. Being first time parents we were scared to death. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend them. They were incredible!
From the moment we entered the doors, we were met with compassion and concern!! Every single person we encountered today, was a phenomenal professional!! I appreciate the wonderful care given to my precious Grandson. You guys are Rockstars!! 🥰
This is on the Children’s ER: We were here for 7 hours Sunday night for a fractured tibia for a 2 year old. They actually put the wrong cast on and had to then remove the cast and do a new one/correct one. It was a pretty bad experience. They had 3 different doctors, 6 different nurses, and an admin person in the room during our time there so they didn’t seem very Covid conscious. I will say, they were very nice but that’s the only good thing I can say.
So thankful for all the staff today! They were caring, efficient, and reassuring! Couldn’t have had a better experience.
Everyone is beyond amazing and caring. They took care of my daughter with the most care and love they could possibly give. A huge thank you to all the doctors and nurses. You guys are amazing.... thanks Angel’s mom
Over the past year, we have been at Wake Med Children's multiple times from our son's initial life-saving surgery and several other surgeries and follow ups. We cannot give enough thanks to the many Doctors, nurses, child life, and staff in the PACU and main floor for the love and care they have provided for Tyler each and every time we have been there. Dr Hoover and his staff are extraordinary and no doubt saved my son's life. We are forever thankful!!
This is the worst hospital ever
Was recommended to bring daughter in by on call doctor for high fever over multiple days. It was very busy but we were seen in ample time. Once we got into a room the staff were all excellent l. Turns out my 5 year old had pneumonia. Couldn’t have asked for a better team!! This was friday from 930 till Saturday 6 am. And special recognition to the child life services employee meagan. She went above and beyond!!!! Thank you wake med children’s!! 💙
friendly etc sometimes fast service
The ENTIRE WM system needs to be scrapped and start over. It is probably the worst group I have ever gone to...very little other choice in the area. It mostly starts from the physician's attitude - if they don't want to be there, they need to go into private practice or get out of medicine all together...take a job where you have NO PEOPLE INTERACTION...maybe a midnight janitor.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
