Emergency Department - Cone Health Annie Penn Hospital's Online Review Report Card

I’ve had to come to Annie Penn for serious medical problems on several occasions and have never had to wait in the waiting room more than it takes to get one triaged. The nurses and doctors have always been very kind to me. I’ve always gotten wonderful treatment and care. This has all happened during Covid. All I have to say is if one is truly sick then one will not have to wait. I’ve never used the ED for a minor injury or cold I’ve only been for serious issues that required prompt treatment. The facility is always clean and I’ve always been given warm blankets and appropriate pain management. I’m very grateful to the ED staff of Annie Penn for always recognizing the seriousness of my situation and treating me well.

Waited 5 hours in the ER with my 1 year old child for a room. The hospital staff said it was because they were short staffed. I was not allowed to wait in my car even with a small child and with patients who were had COVID19 symptoms. Hospital staff was very rude and inconsiderate. If I came back or waited in my car I would have to start my Xrays and CT scan all over again. 010 worst hospital I have ever been too.

This Hospital is really bad and does not care for patients when you go for pain. They let you die in the waiting area. They only take you back until you faint or die in the waiting room. They show no sympathy for patient or family members waiting outside in the car and the nurse apparently in charge only yells at the patients thinking they would hear her.

Who is the guy in C.T Micah wow what an attitude this guy is horrible very rude man. I would not go here just to avoid this guy.

This is the worst hospital they just charge you and send you home not any better . They do not care to help. They do not care . Just horrible staff .

My ER visit to Cone Reidsville was very good. From wait time nurse Doctor and tests went smooth.During these trying times withCovid and lack of medical employees I want to thank you.

I brought my husband to Emergency room yesterday. Day 3 of running high fever chills tightness in chest. A lot of congestion. We had did a rapid COVID test which was negative. We went to the er to rule out pneumonia or upper respiratory problems or the flu. They gave him a COVID test and 2 Tylenol’s. No Xray to rule out pneumonia no flu test. They automatically thought it was COVID. He asked about possible pneumonia and they said he did not have the symptoms. Really I am not a doctor or nurse but these are symptoms of pneumonia. The COVID test came back negative. He still has the same symptoms. Now what. I am going to take home somewhere to rule out pneumonia or the flu. Has every sickness disappeared since COVID started. I am really upset what kind of so called hospital is this. Cone health taking over has not improved it at all. By the way we probably have not been in then er for about 40 years and will not be coming back here. Very disgusted with the lack of care and concern. Should not even be charged for this.
