Medaccess Urgent Care's Online Review Report Card

I have to go to MedAccess at least once a year for sinus infection, have gone there for other medical issues and I have no complaints about service or staff. Everyone is polite and answers all my questions.  They also call me a couple of days later to check on me. They are great.

Go somewhere else. Seriously. Called this morning asking if they do walk ins, was told yes. Drove down here and called just to be told I have to schedule an appointment. Okay fine. Scheduled an appointment to come back at 1. Get here a few minutes early just to called and let them know I'm here for my appointment just to be told they don't do appointments and I have to wait. I literally could have been seen sooner if I stayed this morning instead of believing i had an appointment.

Such an exceptional experience we had today with PA Chelsea and Allen. Professional, knowledgable, thorough and kind!After having had a bad experience at another urgent care, another location..... we were hesitant to go today but really were not in a position to wait....after all isn't that what medical should be for.....when people are in need.Thank you all for your attention to detail. Thank you for listening to our concerns and thank you for helping my husband today while under the weather.We appreciate the both of you!

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Everyone was unprofessional besides the receptionist. The triage nurse was not wearing a mask nor protective gloves. She just pulled down my mask without asking me to take my temperature with her unprotected hands. The wait in the room was long. I could hear the staff outside having unprofessional conservations. One of the nurses made a comment that the waiting room and people waiting in their cars to get in was filling up, The DOCTOR commented well they have somewhere else to go, let them drive to the ER and wait there. When I was finally seen by the dr after a long wait, she literally was in my room for 3 minutes and didn't give a thorough exam and sent me on my way. I will never use this place again.

Turned up after a vacation presenting flu symptoms and fever. Stopped at the door and told to come back later. ?? Turned away from medical care? What century is this? I tick several of the boxes for high risk and yet they sent me away. Too weak to drive to Person Hospital, let alone Duke, so I went back home and used the Nurse Line from my health insurance. Way to treat a senior citizen in Roxboro, guys!

Waited in the exam room for at least 15 minutes before a Dr. came in and that was only because I loudly cleared my throat, prompting their attention and interupting their conversation that i heard the entire time while waiting. I was forgotten. But at least the Dr was upfront about that.

So they have online “appointments” just to put you in line when you check in? What’s the point? So now I waited to come in until my appointment time and then still had to wait over an hour and a half with two toddlers. I would have just come in and gotten it over with and not waited until my appointment time. All other urgent cares I have been to will hold your place in line. Ridiculous.

I spent over an hour here for a sinus infection diagnosis and the ONLY thing they offered was Flonase that you can buy over the counter. This place has 1 doctor and the customer service is HORRIBLE!

The front desk person was not the nicest but the rest of the staff was great!!!! Krystal saw us for triage and she made an uncomfortable experience comfortable for my 5 year old.

Always my go-to place for quick, excellent care. Today I saw Lauren Schilke, PA-C. She was wonderful, and spent so much time listening to me. Highly recommended! Front desk receptionist is also kind and efficient.
