Johnston Unc Health Care Smithfield's Online Review Report Card

The unit for mental health definitely needs some better trained staff. They do not know or even skilled with the type of patients that come in with mental issues.Some of the staff is great the actually come to work to do their job but a lot of the young ladies come there to sit behind a desk and let the clock tic.I mean it’s some severe patients that come in that unit that need more counseling and attention than they care to even give.If you have to send a loved one to get mental health I would not recommend this place until they get some better training and less lazy staff members in that unit.

I found it hard to find because its around on the backside. There are a fair amount of handicap parking spaces a few are wheelchairaccessible. Other than that you may have a little distance to walk. The interior is modern and clean the first desk you are met by very pleasant people they direct you to another desk in the center of the entrance atrium which is not so friendly. I was going to the Endoscopy Clinic and the person accompanying me whats not allowed to proceed pass the ground floor and had a very long wait in a very cold area so take a jacket. Since I am not critiquing the endoscopy area or the preop area I will leave that for another time. There were limited seating areas that were marked off for social distancing. There was toileting facilities nearby. Everyone I had interactions with where Pleasant except for the lady in the central area which was not friendly.

This hospital does not take pride in their work their profession or in themselves. Poor quality care lack of concern in all areas of service and their lack of compassion borders on inhumane treatment of patients. Save yourself a lot of hassels go to Raleigh Cary Duke or Chapel Hill for hospital care

I had to bring my child and they just put us in a room that has not been clean at all soda on floor trash over flowing and nurses and doctors laughing.No one from house keeping came to the room when ask about it they look at me crazy. This is sad if is wasn’t late I would go to Raleigh or Garner

We came here around 9pm because my fiancé was struggling to breath they punished us because we were scared and historical I he literally had his eyes rolling in the back of his head I watched them take back a few people who came after us that walked in perfectly fine there is no sense of urgency for people who are sick they have seen everyone that came but us and it’s 1145pm this is not the UNC service I am use to we had to ask the front desk for a blanket after they put him in the lobby back out clothes wet from sweating but it seems to be the Johnston county standard the front desk lady has rollers in her hair and no one cares. It is sad

this hospital ordered a $400 pickup order from Hibachi USA a local small familyrun business and never paid or picked it up. every time they received a call about it they hung up. ew. at least the restaurant gave the abandoned food to the local fire department.

this hospital is a scam overpriced rip off I WILL NOT GO THERE AGAIN

The wait in the ER nearly killed my husband. The ER doc refused to listen I knew he had cellulitis. Sepsis set in pic line needed. One hundred thousand dollars and 5 days later he could have been spared had the ER doc just simply listened.

Do not go here if you have an emergency they will take the small stuff over the actual emergencies worst hospital ever

Worst place to come Sat here for over 6 hours for the nurses to come say that she cant read the xray call for water never got it the time that we sat here was way to long doesnt make sense will never return here ever
