Giving a one star because I have to. Otherwise, I'd give no stars. Surgery with this Dr. failed immediately. He did not follow the surgery plan and upon consulting with other surgeons afterwards, learned that the type of surgery performed should have never been recommended in the first place. When asked why the surgery plan was not followed, the response was "It was taking a long time." A second surgery was required, which was done by another specialist, who is world renowned in the field. The second surgery has been successful but also came with unnecessary hardships. I should have gone with my instinct to avoid this Dr. when I learned that he was available for surgery 3 days after the consult. I do NOT recommend or I would definitely get second opinions.

When asked why the surgery plan was not followed, the Dr.'s response was "It was taking a long time". A second surgery was required and was done with another surgeon (world renowned in this field) at a different facility. This 2nd surgery has been successful but also created unnecessary hardship. I should have trusted my instinct when this Dr. was available to do the surgery within 3 days of the consult. Do yourself a favor and avoid this Dr. or at least get 2nd opinions.

I first came to Dr Cimpean under emergency conditions. He performed my surgical procedure and I've kept him for follow ups and future procedures. Dr Cimpean explained everything very well and put my fears to rest. I feel I had the best care any where.

Dr Cimpean has done four procedures for me over the last three years. I am extremely pleased with his mannerisms and how well he explains what I needed, why, and what the expected outcome of the procedure will be. He has always taken the time to answer any questions I may have. My recovery was a lot faster than expected because I followed his advise on what I could do to make recovery easier. His staff has been so pleasant to work with and scheduling has always been a breeze.
