Novant Health's Online Review Report Card

I took my mom to Novant Health Thomasville Medical Center after a doctor she was seeing recommended the hospital. My mom was admitted to the hospital and began receiving treatment. I found a lot of the employees to be very kind and sympathetic to what was going on with my mom and her needs. Christal B. was the very best of them all. I had to speak to the doctors about my mother being over medicated which made it extremely hard for us to be able to communicate with her and once that was put out into the open it seemed my mom was able to communicate better and better with each visit. When my mom was admitted I was provided a number in which I was told I could call at any time to get an update on my mother. More times than not the phone system would not work. Novant Health was made aware of this SEVERAL times but still had issues during my moms stay. One doctor who I wont mention in this review was very unprofessional during my moms stay at the hospital Novant Health was made aware of this as well and as I told them no matter his title or position he should learn what bedside manner is and learn how to speak to patient families. Toward the end of my moms stay it seemed like she was being rushed for discharge. My father and my brother told me this on many occasions. I too felt like this. So if you are visiting the medical center I hope you all get Christal B. because I know if were going to ever go there Id want her Other employees especially the doctor should look to her as an example. Good experience

Staff are unprofessional andor overworked and treats the patients subhuman. Laughs at patients. They are humans in their care and while I understanf they work long hours and its just a job to some these are sick human beings in their care needing help.

This is the worst hospital I have ever dealt with. DO NOT TAKE YOUR LOVE ONES THERE My daddy walked in there and no he can’t walk at all. Phone directory persons have not a clue how to transfer calls . Nurses are just rude And what hospital doesn’t have administrative team working on the weekend. I am extremely aggravated and displeased with the care my daddy getting there. Thank god we are having him moved tomorrow. If u love your family and want to know what’s going on with them Do Not bring them here

Just when you think they cant go any lower The ppl at Thomasville medical starts digging a tunnel. Im just thankful my loved ones made it out alive.

Ended up being involuntarily committed due to a panic attack by these guys. They will literally just shove you around and not communicate anything. They were trying to force me to let my dad back then on top of that I fell asleep because they put a bunch of random drugs in me they came in and tore my blankets off of me and started yelling at me to talk to the doctor. Once I was admitted into a hold they left my IV in and I didnt eat for two day because I was constantly tired. Im convinced I was drugged the entire time. On top of that I woke up in a different room because my heart rate was too high. The doctor told me my parents could come get me or I would have to go to the hospital. I told her I really didnt want to go and to please get my parents. Her response was Well I dont really care what you want this isnt about you. Then hung up on me.

Thomasville hospital is amazing they have the best ER Dr and a very very great labor and delivery staff

Dehydrated after surgery. Nurse was not helpful. Needles very painful. Hope I never have to go back to that hospital.
