List of Carolinas Healthcare System Blue Ridge's Reviews
I was there for 2 hours waiting and i left 😞
Worst experience I have had at this ER. They acted like they dont care and make you wait a long time when you have a problem breathing. Also they will not evaluate you as they just go off what you tell them and tell you to follow up with a specialist even when you cant walk cause so much pain. I dont know what has happened to this place.
Very rude people leave you sitting for hrs
We had the absolute best experience at the ER today. My boyfriend had severe chest pains a month ago and we live in Hickory so we went to Frye. We waited 12 hours before getting a room and left with more questions than we came with. He has been sick since and never got any better so when his chest pains came back we went to Valdese instead. I wish I would’ve gotten their names because his care team was amazing We were called back in minutes it wasn’t too busy we went at 10am. He had to have two IV’s and his nurse is the most proficient nurse I’ve ever met. She had both IVs in in under a minute and he didn’t feel a thing. She was great The DoctorPA actually seemed to be as concerned as we were unlike our experiences elsewhere. He ran multiple tests explained everything and made multiple phones calls to update our primary care team and gather info from Frye. He didn’t have to do all of this he even called to schedule us a consult with a top notch cardiologist. We will be going to this ER if the need ever arises again hopefully it won’t but I’m glad to know there is such great care nearby.
I was brought to this hospital by ambulance not my choice. I had a kidney stone that brought me to my knees so I was in severe pain. I get inside this place and I wake up for a second and I guess I was loud and said I’m in pain. My doctor the older man with reddish gray hair slicked back said “Hey Buddy you better quit yelling or I don’t have to help you at all and I can walk out right now I don’t care.” Very rude and disrespectful. Don’t recommend anyone going to this hospital
I came back to edit because my last review was too personal. Its an emergency room. They are there to treat you in emergencies. They are usually very busy because the community likes to use the emergency room as a primary care provider.
Intake staff was helpful there was a wait and should be expected. Medical staff took steps vitals checked verification questions doctors review consult and care suggestion shots administered exit check for shot response and vitals. Time to complete 2 hours +.
Saw mark radigan and got no help in the er for my child and nothing but false accusations Was super rude didnt even get a hi when he walked in the room I was ask why didnt you take him to his regular doctor no bedside manor what so ever
Everything was going okay and check in and got my husband in back very quickly but after a couple hours waiting on things such as test that was done on him I decided to go find out what was going on and I had a male nurse push me back into my husbands room and me being 3 months pregnant and I about fall going into the room.
I have diverticulitis and celiac disease. I was told by my gastroenterologist to go to the ER for a scan so they can look at it and determine if surgery could help. I did as asked. They put me in a room and left me. It wasnt until I was walking out that they offered to see me. Then they didnt do the scan diagnosed me with diverticulitis and celiac disease gave me antibiotics and ushered me out. Gee thanks but I didnt need a diagnosis and they didnt do what I was sent for. Also they tried to test me for pregnancy when Ive had a hysterectomy clearly in my chart if they had bothered to look. Basically I dont have insurance and they didnt want to serve me.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
