No reason a person with chest pain shld be left in ER room over 12 hrs. Mom asked for pain meds and had to call twice the first time the call light was turned off bc light was on then I checked again and someone turned it off. She waited over 30 min before someone showed up. She waa there 12 hrs and no food offered until I had to ask for her.
I have been hired into the Respiratory department and from the first phone interview to the in person interview Liz has been so nice and professional.she made me feel very welcomed at all times and has answered every question I have had immediately after I text her. I thank you Liz for making me feel like one of the team members right from the start. Everyone I have met has been kind and helpful. Thank you
Vidant needs to hire another GI doctor. That way in an emergency they can be called in to perform certain tests so the patient can get quick answers if they are in pain.
They were on the news for taking too long to see patients, and the thing is that they are using COVID as an excuse for their wait times. No! These issues have been going on well before COVID. I realize people go to the ER who probably shouldn’t which takes up space and time, but seriously ill people should not be waiting 7-8 hours or more, sent home on multiple occasions, and now suffering from paralysis because they were, in fact, having a stroke. Or be left waiting in a wheelchair with extremely low blood pressure when they couldn’t even hold themselves up. Or passed out at school and coming in on an ambulance. Or even coming in with leg pain and told it’s just muscle pain without any kind of testing which wound up being DVT. Yeah, all this in the 3 years we have lived in the area and not all of it is our family, but people we know too and witnessed first hand. There is a serious problem at this place and peoples lives are being sacrificed because of it; It’s unprofesssional, dangerous, and immoral. If you can afford to get to Greenville, or anywhere else really, do that instead.
Worst ER. Nurses are rude, lazy and not helpful at all. I was talking to my boyfriend and the nurse grabs the phone from him and hangs up. Not sure what you all have going on right now but that is not acceptable.
Great Hospital ! Great Doctors,Nurses and General Staff 👍🏼🙏🏼
This place is an absolute joke. I'd advise going ANYWHERE besides anything with Vident on it.
I was carried by rescue squad Monday morning, August 23. I sat there all day long with no care. I had diarrhea when I left and it was all down my legs and on my feet. They did a chest x-ray and occasionally took my temp. After 7 hours of being ignored and left in a hard chair I called my daughter to come get me. I sincerely hope I never gave to go back.
Spent 3 1/2 hours in the ER waiting to be taken to an exam room. There were only 7 people in addition to me waiting during that time. Apparently 3 of those were possible covid but we were all in the same room. After this long wait with no movement for the patients, I asked how much longer and was told maybe 2-5 hours to be taken back. My wife waited outside because of rules and heard no ambulances bringing critical patients to the ER. She saw wheelchairs being used by people with no sanitary cleaning in between patients. I heard an ER doc pass by and say how much he hated having to come to work. My wife watched staff members with their IDs visible going to their parked cars at the end of their shift in an area clearly marked "patient parking". When I told them I couldn't wait any more because my wife had just had surgery, they would not give me my lab work so I could try to follow up with my doctor. They told me to get it on the patient portal. Well, you need an access code that is on your paperwork to see your lab results and they did not give me any paperwork or make me sign AMA form. Horrible experience, lots of wasted money, no relief. We will never return here or advise anyone to use this place based on our experience.
Heard they're shaming patients for not being vaccinated, some who have died. Dr's, nurses, and admin at this facility should be ashamed of themselves. Your continued failed treatments and protocols are the problem, not a vaccine that doesn't work. Again shame on you.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
