The fact that they are not taking new patients during the Covid-19 crisis when this is obviously a time of great mental distress on people, should tell you enough about them as a whole.Dr. Joe is the only thing this place really has going for it and the only reason they are getting 3 stars.

I have been a patient at Tideland Mental Health in Washington, N.C. for about 3 years. Prior to this I would find myself in the detoxification section 2 or 3 times a year over a period of at least 15 years or so for alcohol and drug issues. I finally found a way to arrest my addiction through the help of Suboxone. The Doctor I was assigned to is P. Garcia. At first he seemed like a man that judged me very harshly but the condition I was in at the time I now understand his motivation for doing so. He has turned out in my opinion to be not quick fix Doctor but a man who really cares about his patients. Also I had a counselor named Chuck who moved on. When I last saw him at our last appointment he hugged me and told me he loved me. I left that day with tears in my eyes because I had just lost someone that I can truly say was the one person I could tell my story to. I am a better man today for knowing him and I wish him all the goodness this world has to offer.
