Dr Brown not only did my back fusion but all 3 fusions on my neck. I've recommended alot of people to him and with great results every time. If I ever have to have anymore surgery on my spine, I'll gladly go back to him. I recommend him to anyone.
DO NOT SEE THIS DR!!!!!! This should be a 0 rating. Brown did a microdisectomy on me in 2017, sawed off a surgical clap tip in my disc. He noted in the op report that he did not retrieve it because of the potential risk of further damage BUT he never told me I had this piece in my back. I started having issues again last year - and not knowing about this metallic piece in my back, I got onto an MRI table. I felt the piece ripping through me and that's when we discovered it. I called and confronted the office - his PA lied and said they don't use anything metal for the surgery that was done and when I demanded to talk to Dr Brown is when he told me he had left it in there. I've had to have another surgery where I had to be cut from the front then rolled to the back and cut in the back. I'm only 37yo with a spinal fusion and its all Dr Browns fault.
He performed a failed cervical surgery on me. I am now partially disabled. His office staff is the most unprofessional group I have ever dealt with…go somewhere else.
I loved the office staff and Dr Brown and PA-C Christopher Steyskal , really nice snd very helpful. Yes I would recommend and already have!!
Love Dr. Brown. Just wish I could see him without waiting a month. You see, I've had this pain since July, had two S1 joint intentions, 1 saccrail nerve block. Still painful. No way to get in touch with Dr. Brown and when I went through the portal, she told me he couldn't see me until Oct. 20. Still trying to find my diagnosis.??
Dr. Brown is the most talented neurosurgeon on the east cost....enough said. He gave me my life back.
I have been seeing dr brown sense 2007 had to have some major surgery on my back well that year i had to have about six more surgery’s my spine was bad very bad so now I need at least two more But for some reason they don’t want to do them i understand why not one of them but the lower part i need done bad BAD I can’t walk 10 yards without going down to my knees last time I was in there Chris saw me and told me why no more on the middle of my back but when I asked him about my lower back he just walked out on my and yes I know i can be a pain in the butt But when you are in PAIN you don’t care so still don’t know why they don’t help me or care too and on top of that I found some MONEY In the waiting room and gave them it Well I Thought that after 30 days it would be mine well guess what NOPE BUT THATS ok because like my church said my conscience is clear anyway can anyone tell me of another back doctor yes I’m asking here hope someone reads this and knows how i feel life is not fun any
Great biography of medical/ surgical schools/training . Very skilled, knowledgeable and ease in explanation of surgical procedure I needed. Dr Brown did my cervical surgery approx 2 years ago- had good recovery from pain I had for many years- and still doing well!
I had cervical surgery about a year ago. Have been in pain ever since. Post op care and see his medical staff were awful. They lack compassion and no bedside manner!
I am so Grateful to have Dr. Adam Brown as my Neurosurgeon!! He is very thorough, explains condition and options, he listens to concerns with compassion. He did a very successful Spinal Fusion in my lumbar area over 6 years ago. Little things pop up as I age, my recent visit gave me assurance he can take the Best Care of me going forward. I feel Dr. Brown is the Best neurosurgeon in our region. Wilmington is blessed to have him and his PA, Chris!! Office staff was friendly and very helpful!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
