Catherine Daum's Online Review Report Card

When i first arrived in NC and was looking for a doctor Wilmington Health was recommended at this time I was medically retired and waiting to receive disability. While on Blue Cross health insurance dr daum treated me ok spoke with me abt my concerns and referred me when necessary . The following year when Medicare picked up my insurance everything changed. She was short impatient and very condescending when I informed her of back leg and thigh pain I was having she was unconcerned and without a Xray or exam told me PT might help. It didn’t. I called back after doing my own research and figured I prop had a pinched sciatic nerve I wanted to request a prescription for anything anti inflammatory which was denied. my appointment for pain management is in 2 weeks and they made me feel like I’m trying to get drugs. I’m Done with this doctorI’m not sure about other doctors in the facility but this one is not for me

She was nice enough when I met with her but fired a patient I referred to her. Therefore I lost confidence in her and will be going elsewhere. I dont need to have a doctor who doesnt have hospital privileges and who might arbitrarily decide to fire me. Thats unprofessional behavior.

She should be ASHAMED of herself to call herself a doctor Do NOT schedule any appointment with this woman. I have been a patient of Wilmington Health for the last year and needed to be seen by a doctor by internal medicine for the first time for a matter that was urgent. Her nurse and her knew I had not been seen by her before. They scheduled my appointment for two weeks out as a virtual visit that I specifically waited for so I could be seen by a doctor instead of physician assistant. 1 12 minutes before my virtual visit after I already had confirmed my appointment THREE separate times and already was in the waiting room on camera to talk to the doctor they called me and told me Dr Daum was choosing to cancel my appointment since her nurse forgot to send me the paperwork to fill out in advance and they did not want to send me it over email so I could fill it out quickly. I told them I was in pain and had been suffering and waiting for two weeks and was already in the meeting They said they would do nothing for me and my appointment was cancelled and Dr Daum refused to see me. Their mistake on providing me the paperwork to fill out and she REFUSED to help me or see me for my scheduled appointment. She would not even speak with me on the phone when I asked her nurse to please let me talk to the doctor. She is a DISGRACE of a doctor and I’ll be making sure everyone in Wilmington stays clear of her. What a selfish woman

Excellent attention to every need. Very kind sweet person. You could not find a better physician than Dr. Daum. I trust her completely with my health care concerns.

Catherine Daum has been my physician for four years. I’m basically healthy so just go for routine physicals. She spends as much time as needed answers all my questions makes thoughtful age appropriate recommendations and is not overly interested in prescribing medication. Love her.

Dr Daum is an excellent allaround internal medicine physician and a great person. She has helped me manage the various medical issues that interrelate with expertise helpfulness and kindness. I trust her judgment. She is a great doctor The best

Very caring experienced and knowledgeable doctor who really listens to her patient. She has been with me during the worst times of my life and helped me thru it.
