And I’m 1000% satisfied with Dr. GEORGE ALSINA‘s work.I was robbed and beat unconscious kicked in the back, neck at many levels if my spine and head.Dr Alsina has done excellent surgery for me and all of the different spinal fusions that and removal of lamina and other surgeries.There’s no doubt in my mind that any other surgeon in the world could have done the amazing job that Dr. Alsina has done each time.I will never trust anyone with my brain or spine other than him!What Dr. Alsina says that needs to be done is always the very best for you.He explains every surgical procedure, physical therapy etc…is the absolute skilled diagnosis that anyone can have.I see a lot of these reviews I’m telling you that all patients are very different.Many go back living on pain meds that do them no good except make you addicted. The alcoholics or drug addicts will never follow the Doctors orders. They don’t show up for PT there’s no way you will heal appropriately. Do your own part in your recovery!

Dr. Alcina performed a cervical disc replacement surgery on me. He was very compassionate to my pain prior, and was very thorough and empathetic in explaining risks, issues and recovery after the surgery, as well as addressing feasible expectations. He really is a class act!

Dr Alsina is a phenomenal surgeon. After 7 hours of surgery to repair my 91 year old father's fractured neck...my dad walked out of the Neuro Institute without any pain and a repaired cervical spine. Dr Alsina and his staff are amazing...they took the time to completely explain the procedure and what to expect after surgery. Dr Alsina is top notch as well as his PA and office staff..and as a medical professional myself I am fully aware this is not always the case with all medical practices. Highly recommend!

Dr Alsina is a phenomenal surgeon...one of the finest I have ever met and I am a medical professional myself. After 7 hours of surgery to repair my 91 year old father's fractured neck and reduce his extreme pain .....my father had no pain and walked out of the Neuro clinic with improved quality of life. We are forever grateful for his expertise...compassion...instruction. I highly recommend Dr Alsina and his staff ...they are role models for all medical professionals.

Dr, Alsina saved my life and made it possible for me to literally walk and remain active! I swear on my life that you will never find a Neurosurgeon as experienced, professional and compassionate! I know that Jesus Christ operates through this amazing man! If your life, health, exercise and well being matters to you, I absolutely suggest you go straight to the very best Neurosurgeon ever on the entire east coast of the US! I worked 17 years as a First Assistant and LPN in a Trauma Center and worked with four different neurosurgeons so I know the difference is neurosurgeons that are not dedicated to provide the very best possible outcome for their patients. I've been a patient of Dr. Alsina since about September 2021 and I'm totally satisfied with his medical skills and knowledge. He a top notch surgeon and I would recommend Dr. Alsina to anyone with back problems. I live approximately 100 miles from his office and although the drive is a burden, the expected benefits of no back pain is totally worth the drive. The only negative about my experience with Dr. Alsina's office is with his assistant Megan Frye. Don't expect Megan to EVER return ANY of your phone calls or attempt to solve any problem that you might incure. I was scheduled for surgery recently. Two weeks before surgery, Megan finally called and assured me that everything was fine and to expect no problems with the surgery or the surgical date. One date before surgery, I arrived in Wilmington, NC, 100 miles from home and begin the pre-surgical admission's process. After 2 hours of testing, the admission's nurse told me that the surgery was cancelled for an unknown reason and that I should call Dr. Alsina's office for an explanation. When I called his office, AGAIN, I got Megan's voicemail. I gave up trying to contact Megan and decided to make a few calls myself and attempt to resolve the unknown problem. After speaking to several different medical personnel at the hospital and BCBS's staff, the issue was resolved and surgery was back on schedule in two weeks. This lack of professionalism cost me travel expenses, anxiety over the surgical cancellation, and anxiety over the next surgery. Any travel and travel related expense to Wilmington, NC is a hardship for me since I'm still under a doctor's care and haven't worked in over a year.

I have been waiting 7 weeks to write this review about my experience with Dr Brown, and I still can't find enough words to express how thankful and happy I am with him, his team, and the surgery he did on my back in June! Covid was to blame for delays with the surgery. I was to blame for allowing the pain in my back to dictate my life for almost 3 years! I knew Dr Brown was the only doctor I would trust to do any back surgery on me! I was lucky to know 3 people who went to him, all had surgery with very happy endings! The best thing I ever did, was make the first appointment to see him! I was in so much pain, he was kind, and he put up with my painful mood, and I was able to do our remaining appointments by phone(video). We have many doctors in Wilmington,but great surgeons usually are not this close to home! I awoke from surgery and realized a couple of hours later, that I could lift my left foot!!! And the sciatica in my left leg was gone! Each day after, felt even better!!! Any surgeon that can do all that he did(yes, I read all the notes about the surgery),I'm just very blessed! Now it's up to me to take care of myself, accept all the rehab offered to me, and let others know , that Dr Brown might be able to help you! Thank you Dr Brown for taking a chance on me!

I wish I could share my experience in the past they were great. But now I can't even get an appointment after 5 attempts leaving my information and my worsening problem is nurse has never returned my calls!!!!!! This lady let's her answering machine pick up every time. you can't talk to her at any time. Terrible way to run a office
