Initially I felt comfortable with the treatment received until I was made to feel as if I were a noncompliant type 2 diabetic. I later found out that I am a late onset type 1 which is unusual but it was determined based on the cpeptide that he requested. Late onset type 1 is unusual but I was very put off by being told “you need to watch what you’re eating” over and over when I was on a reasonably clean diet. I guess he assumed that I must have been lying. I’m grateful to have nephrology acquaintances who were willing to view my labs and refer me to other providers.

Been seeing Dr Favorito for a few years. Recently had a change in my situation and no longer have insurance. He helped me with options to continue with a CGM that will be affordable and other assistance programs.

Dr Michael Favorito took over for Dr Whiteside a few years ago and handed me off with all my diabetic problems and Dr Fav has sure been a godsend with my Type 1 difficulties. I cant thank him enough for the time patience new technologies etc. Im adult onset type 1 so

First visit and he spent a long time explaining my diagnosis and recommending treatment. He also reviewed my complete history going back to 1998. He was very thorough and very patient. His office nurse Jen replied to a concern I placed on the patient portal very quickly. This was before the first visit. I am extremely pleased with his caring and knowledge about my diagnosis. I was very impressed

Dr. Favvio is what I call him because hes so cool and down to earth and hes from NY. Since coming home from Iraq Afghanistan with different issues concerning my health Dr. Favvio has gone above the call of duty to keep my health in line. Hes the best doctor on my team. Wilmington Health needs to give him a bonus.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE LOVE DR. FAVORITO His nurses are less to be desired at times and it may be they have a lot on their plate and if that is the problem they need to hire more. I have been going to this practice for over 12 years and will go nowhere else unless I move so far away ALL the doctors here are wonderful. If you need an endo pick one of many I am sure you will be happy ??
