List of Leonardo Kapural's Reviews
Only wanted to do procedures and place neurostimulators. Said he didn’t want to treat me with medication for my chronic pain anymore. Cut me off my medication cold turkey which is wrong.
Has a history of not listening to clients. Very judgmental when taking about various forms of pain relief. Often comes patients by “wealth” status vs. treating them as individuals. Is knowledgeable but cocky. Needs to be able to listen to clients better
I am so pleased with Doctor Kapural. I was introduced to him by one of his friends in the practice from FL named Doctor Gekht. They both showed me compassion, and truly listened and cared about me. I have been a patient of Kapural’s now for I’m guess 10 years? He is always teaching and learning of new ways to help in anyway that he can. I have never had any complaints on him or his staff. I have since moved to FL and I’m still going to try and keep in touch to see him. You just can’t trust every body and he is one that I trust and believe God gave me. Thank you Doctor Kapural for your smiles, kind heart, and always looking after me. Shondra
Dr. Kapural is a great, knowledgeable doctor. If he comes across a little conceited then so be it. He deserves it. Look at his credentials. Anyway he was not like that towards more at all. I thought he was very nice and listened attentively. I know he helped me!
Dr. Kapural has been treating me for chronic pain. He has been very thorough and compassionate. Only wish I had been referred to him sooner. He is definitely improving my quality of life with his treatment.
I was seen by this clinic several times, a different person each time, and only on the last visit did I get to see the lauded Dr. Kapural. He stormed into the room, introduced himself, and told me, without hearing a word from me, what he had determined I needed to do next, which was another procedure. When I told him I was not interested at this point in that procedure, and tried to discuss what I had come to talk about, which was concerns about contraindication with the medicine he had prescribed, he raised his voice and began telling me about how his way is the only way that works, and all my other doctors are incompetent, and (by god!) he's got a published book on Amazon! The longer I tried to get back to what I needed to speak with him about, the nastier and louder he became, until he was literally standing in front of me and yelling at me. In the end, he said (yelled) he wouldn't treat me any more, and yelled from down the hall for me to leave. I have seen a lot of doctors over the years, and I have had some bad experiences, but this guy is at the top of the list. He has ZERO bedside manner, and he treats patients like we are subjects for research for his next book. He absolutely did not care about anything I had to say. For example, when I asked about the excruciating pain I had after the procedure they did on me, he raised his hands and said "Eh, it's muscle." And that was that. I wish I had read the reviews before I had come to see him. All the negative ones on Google are spot on with my own experience. Please beware of this clinic and this man.
My sister had a horrible experience with this doctor. She had concerns about some medications he'd prescribed, and he yelled at her for not accepting his word at face value, when there were contraindications clearly listed. He boasted about having a book on Amazon, and ultimately told her she didn't want to hear the answer. She has been seeking answers for her chronic pain for years. This was too much, and she was reduced to tears. Did he stop yelling at her? No. He got louder and more arrogant, "THIS IS NOT AN OPIATE FACTORY!" when she never asked for opiates in the first place, but just for answers to her concerns. She had gone through a procedure a fellow doctor from the clinic had recommended, and it had only made her pain worse. Her concerns were certainly understandable, but he got angry that she didn't just shut and agree. If the original treatment had actually worked, maybe some of his arrogance would have been understandable, but as it was, it was baffling, and extremely upsetting to my sister. So, as for these reviews of his sensitivity and listening skills, I have to disagree strongly.
My experience was when Dr. Kapural worked in Cleveland Clinic. I’m impressed by his continued interest in learning and teaching others in his field. He has a very friendly thorough manner with the patient. In my opinion the man is a genius and deserves the many awards he’s been given over the years.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
