List of Wake Forest Baptist Health's Reviews
First let me say this is not a review i look forward to writing. If there things that are wrong.. this facility seems to capitalize on them. I cannot believe the things i am running into. How can such a place even exist? Being able to find anything is a toss of the coin. Signage apparently in not in their vocabulary. And of course asking someone is also a toss of a coin. I will not go into the quality of care by the staff. For that i will only say that if you can go elsewhere.. then you should. I have visited this facility a total of 4 times. The most recent is the emergency room. Bad experience all the way around.
Took my wife to the ER on 10/26/21 Got checked in quickl and was told they are putting her back out in the waiting room until they come get her. 9 hours later and we are still waiting We ask to speak with someone and a nurse came out. We ask how much longer do we have to wait and she said I can't tell you because I have no clue when you will be called back. Very poor service in the ER at this hospital.
So the doctors and nurses in er and the floor were very good. But I was there partially for chest pain. The admitting doctor and then attending doctor ordered a stress test which some Manger (maybe doctor) decided I didn't need ( conveniently someone who never examined, spoke to me or had all notes available - also didnt advise ordering MDs) - never informing either ordering MD when they canceled it. Then told my physician she had to call a cardiologist if they wanted any testing (nice way to pad the bill???) who suggested I get a CTA. ( My physician said she'd never had that happen before) CT never came to get it (on a Friday) after it was ordered and after they made staff put in an 18 Guage IV. ....so I either had to stay the weekend to have it done on Monday ( as it couldn't be done that soon if I went home over the weekend because that would require prior authorization). Or wait till later this week. My doctor was told we could schedule soonest this Thursday...which we did. Now they called to say it still needs to be authorized and they don't understand why test was ordered. Even though its extremely clear in the physicians notes - its for chest pain. The person I spoke with who does authorizations didn't give a number ( it shows as a generic number for the whole hospital) so can't call her back and I've tried calling patient relations. This has been a nightmare. I've lost days of work and spent extra time in hospital when I maybe didn't need to. And chest pain still not fully evaluated. I unfortunately have no choice as my insurance only covers Wake hospitals and clinics - but I won't use them anymore after this. Beware and advocate fiercely for your loved ones if you have to go to Wake hospital for your healthcare.
Next time i rather fall over a die than wait over 10 hours in the fucking emergency room just to get taken back to a bed to wake 10 more fucking hours . extremely inconsiderate and inconsistent in their treatment
So happy to have found this office. I felt silly jumping from office to office (3 in total) with my newborn but working in the medical field I have high expectations for care. The phone is answered promptly and calls are quickly returned, they offer Saturday and Sunday visits. After my first visit, I instantly felt I had finally found the right pediatric office for my babies. Our doctor is Dr. Culler but we’ve also seen Dr. Armentrout both exceed my expectations.
Emergency room do not Save people lives. My Girlfriend almost died Seating in the Emergency Room Bleeding Internally. Then she had Surgery then go back 2 days later for Bleeding and They have her sitting in the Emergency Room for 5 and a half hour and still haven't been Seen and they the ones that told her to come back. I can go on and on but Wake Forest Baptist is just not a good Hospital. If I could have gave it no stars I would have did that.
The wait times are ridiculous. Been here twice for bloodwork and have waited 30+ minutes. Will not come here again!
I would never take my child anywhere else! They have always been kind and worked us in when needed. I love that they are open on weekends as well for those sick visits. Dr. Verenes has given me so much comfort as a first time mom and my baby loves her! Every physician we have seen has been incredible.
I just had the best bone marrow biopsy of every one of them during my 18 years with cancer. I can't even believe how smoothly it went and what relatively little pain there was. Amazing. Thank you Kat (& staff).
Went in for a routine Covid test. Had a relatively short wait and was helped by a PA. Before going into the office I told them that I would pay cash and was asked to pay $100 up front for the test which I had absolutely no problem with. They said the results would be in 24-48 hrs starting next business day. This was important as I needed to self quarantine until receiving the results. As a business owner this meant closing my business until results were received. 6 days later I received a negative result from their website, no return phone call as I had made many based on the promised timeline.Later I received an invoice for an additional $188? After more calls and requests for an itemized invoice which I never received they reduced an additional $86.40 which I paid. Moral of the story is ask what possible charges they could potentially add or better yet JUST DONT GO THERE.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
