Went in for a allergy and sinus issues, which was glossed over as a covid diagnosis. PA almost forgot to even test me, which turned out negative, and then rushed out the door. After receiving the negative result from the covid test, called back to be seen for the original allergy and sinus issues (which are already worse today) and was told to come back in tomorrow. At the end of the day today, received a call back from the office telling me to wait 7-14 days and then make an appointment with my primary care physician. Not only did I not get any relief for what I went for in the first place, but I wound up paying a $50 copay for 4 minutes of their time and a covid test which is free literally everywhere else. You can be sure my insurance was billed as well. I would not recommend them at all.
I took my daughter here on Sunday after she had potentially been exposed to strep throat. She felt horrible and could barely swallow, much less drive herself to the clinic. She went in with her mask on to a waiting room filled with unmasked patients and she was sent back to the car to wait and eventually was told to come to the back door. The ?nurse/assistant came out to get her and she went in to see Dr. Brown. They treated her for strep, based on the appearance of her throat. After taking the prescribed generic Augmentin for a full day, she woke up to a horrible rash on her face and neck. She had previously never had a reaction to antibiotics. She treated it with hydrocortisone cream and when it didn't resolve the next day, she contacted the office. The receptionist, who did not identify herself, told her that she would have to come back in for an evaluation. My daughter explained that she was unable to do so and asked if she could get a call from the physician or have the medicine changed. The receptionist was rude and told her just to stop taking the medicine but she could not speak with anyone. In my experience, if a pt has an allergic reaction to a medication, it is documented in the patient chart and a different medication is called in for treatment. I'm not sure if this office is just trying to generate revenue, they have extremely poor customer service, or what is going on. She has been there one time previously and never had an issue. We won't be trying a 3rd visit. Patients should come first!!!!
THIEVES!!! We were charged in full at the Winston-Salem Mediq Urgent Care back in November 2020 for a COVID test, then they billed our insurance and got paid again. Have been calling since December for a refund (it's now April 2021), and every time I call (after waiting on hold for 45 minutes) I get another story. They claim they switched accounting systems so the refund never went through, then that the refund was sent to the wrong address, then TWICE they told me the refund was issued, but we have never received it. DO NOT GIVE THIS PLACE ANY OF YOUR MONEY!!! THE PEOPLE WHO RUN IT ARE DISHONEST THIEVES.
Please do not go to this urgent care facility. They have to be the most incompetent facility I have ever been to in my entire life. First, they say you can schedule an appointment for services such as, a COVID-19; however, your better going somewhere else and doing a Walk-in because, the wait is over an hour or more. In other words, they are lying when they say they talk appointments. They are first come, first serve. Please don't waste your time.Secondly, if you go there for a COVID test and you have Medicare (which is means it's covered at 100%), they are going to charge your insurance as urgent care visit, which means you have to pay a copayment.Third, even though they say they are going to do a full evaluation, they really do not do one. They do have basic medical equipment such as a scale, so if you do go here, make sure you know your height and weight.Lastly, there customer service is the worst in the business. While trying to get in from the car, the representative was very rude, inattentive, and inpatient. While inquiring about COVID-19 testing process, and the cost associated with the test, the representative hung up the phone. In conclusion, this urgent care facility needs to be investigated and shut down. They have shady practices, they intentionally mislead people, over charge the elderly, and are extremely rude.By the way, in order for them to see you, you have to wait in a back of an alley (for hours even though you may have an appointment) like an alley-cat. They are beyond disgusting. If I could give them a negative rating I would. Please do not support them. Take your time and money elsewhere.
This place advertises that their COVID-19 tests are free. Couldn't be further from the truth. They want to charge anyone walking in the door $140 for this test. I think we know now why we can't get the virus under control if clinics are not giving the test for free as they should be. Even with insurance that's ridiculous! Don't use this facility if you need a Covid test. There are other places you can get it for free.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
