List of Novant Health's Reviews
The negatives The wait here is unbearable but I guess thats to be expected with an ER. The vending machine took my money twice because my items got stuck. I waited here for 8 hours from 315pm to a little after 11pm and arrived under the suspicion of an ectopic pregnancy. Youd think that that would be a high priority but I get that other health conditions take precedence. I overheard staff in the front loudly complaining about their work schedules or just being loud in general. The positives The staff that wheel you to your room or to different parts of the hospital are kind. I had to get an ultrasound and Tatiana in that department was amazing. She was incredibly compassionate and was informative when I had questions. The NP Tonja Shell that visited me was also kind and took it upon herself to refer me to a specialist. The nurses at the station in the ER also made sure that I was taken care of while I waited.Overall I would say avoid going here if you can due to the wait. But also be aware that the hospital is probably understaffed and that may impact your wait also. My labwork was done by 4pm but I didnt leave the hospital until 11pm and that was insane.
My friend has type 1 diabetes and she ran out of insulin so she’s in DKA. We came to this location thinking she would get the care she needs but to our surprise we have waited more than an hour and we are still currently waiting. Don’t come to this location if you have a life or death emergency because i’m pretty sure they will watch you die in the waiting room.
Had to use them a few times and the service was solid. I have all the respect in the world for those that deal with people in the worst circumstances.
Got checked in at 1253 am for severe back pain and bronchitis. Waited almost half an hour to go back and get xrays done. 133 am got back to the waiting room and Ive been sitting here for almost 3 hours. Ive seen people who have come in after me go in first. Edit 5 hours of sitting here now. Went up to the lady at the desk and she said Sorry but I cant give you a estimate waiting time.
Very slow and lousy True score 0 out of 5. My wife got here at 215pm because of chest pressure. Its now 745pm and they still havent addressed her problem. Im still in the parking lot and dont know when well be able to go home. Just because labs are negative doesnt mean the staff can start slacking and just let the patient wait for hours on end. No apologies or explanations given for the wait. Follow up with your patients and make sure theyre feeling better and do further assessments. Had to to leave after 6 hours of INCOMPETENT service. You can potentially die from this EDMy wife and I are healthworkers we know what were talking about. Wouldnt recommend this ERManagement only responds to praises and high reviews and ignores very important and critical ones. Im sure mine will be ignored as well. Dont you dare expect payment for incompetence. Your staffing and management need major changes.
I got to the hospital around 240 was seated and after a hour called back to get my blood drawn and a xray then sent back to the lobby to wait. 3 more hours go by of me just sitting and waiting. I eventually went up to the desk the lady handed me a paper about leaving I then informed her that I just wanted to talk to a nurse she then said “the nurses stand there go see if you see one” like huhhhhhh? very unprofessional here I am 4 hours later with NO help I definitely wouldn’t recommend
The ladies in the north unit are amazing I havent delivered yet but had a few complications and had to stay overnight they were very attentive and my room was extremely clean loved how they constantly checked to see that me and baby were okay I feel very comfortable when it comes time to deliver that this is definitely the place to be and the food was great too
Worst facility Ive ever seen The nurses wouldnt even give a sick man water They yelled at me with a loud screeching voice bc I asked to please give him water while he was chocking The nurses and staff could care less here They were sitting in the hall ways outside the patients rooms laughing talking and not caring about a chocking man I wouldnt bring my loved ones here . Ever Go to Baptist instead
Dads been there for 2 days now . Drs and nurses have been excellent thru his stay and surgery. The room staff is keeping good care of him also . My only complaint is that the hospital layout over the years has got very complicated to get to certain floors . I had to go up to floor 7 to get back to his floor 5 room .
Not sure why all the bad reviews but they have always done right by me and my family. We have used them at least 10 times and I never once remember sitting in the waiting area for more than a few minutes. Its a big ER and we have never had to wait for a cubicle. You are seen right away and then there is the usual ERstyle wait as they take you for tests etc.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
