Laura Knutson Md's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Laura Knutson is everything a patient could ever hope for in a doctor- she’s highly knowledgeable, engaged in her patient from a wholistic perspective, and genuinely caring. I trust her implicitly. The nursing team she works with is also amazing. They’re always compassionate and thoughtful. Every experience I’ve had has been nothing short of stellar, even for more-serious gyn procedures, and now my OB care.

10/10. I will always refer anyone I know to Dr. Laura Knudson! She takes the time to listen to my EXTENSIVE list of questions, every visit that I have. She also takes the time to explain all of my options in a way that is easy to understand (without all of the medical jargon that gets confusing). I also love that Dr. Knudson and her nurses take the time to get to know me, and remember for my next visit. I have never felt so at ease with any other doctor before. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Knudson and her staff!

I was left in the exam room waiting for the doctor for over half an hour, close to 45 minutes. I poked my head out the door to flag down a nurse and was told that the doctor was behind schedule. If you know you are behind schedule leave me in the waiting room, dont do intake then disappear after telling me to take my pants off and the doctor will be soon. So awkward and frustrating. Care was good but organization was not.

When I go here, I have great experiences with all staff members. However, I have major struggles with having a consistent person that I get to work with. First doctor I went to all of my family members went to and she was great until her untimely death. Then, we had to find a new doctor and my sister and I both ended up with the same one and she was great! She was very firm and strict that pushed me to do the same. I called as normal to make an appointment and receptionist told me she no longer was making any more appointments, no one could tell me why, which led me to pick a new doctor which that was overall heartbreaking for me in more ways than one. Went to this new doctor. Loved her, she told me things that I never knew. Went to schedule my appointment again for this year and.....receptionist said, "sorry your doctor is leaving at the end of this month, didn't you get the letter?" No, no I did not. So I again had to frantically find someone else. Scheduled this appointment a couple days ago to only then be called back today being told that they have to cancel and reschedule my appointment. I can't make that work as I no longer live in this area. I go to this place because it has always been where I go, I have good experiences besides what I'm addressing now, and I have other medical needs that have to be taken place in the Bismarck area. So now I once again called back to reschedule my exam with a different doctor. This will be my 5th attempt or at least someone new if you count the person who couldn't make the schedule work. This is my last and final attempt at working with this place. It just makes me wonder why there are so many people leaving or just changing things around when at the time it was good. I understand life things happen, but I can't help but be frustrated with it all especially considering how many times this has occurred. If this doesn't pan out, I will be choosing to go somewhere else. I like having consistency, dependability, and not feeling uncomfortable and having to rebuild a trusting relationship with someone new. It will truly be heartbreaking for me if I feel I need to leave because I know this place, I'm comfortable at this place, the service is exceptional when I'm there. I don't want to have to leave. I just want someone I can depend and rely on and be comfortable around. I didn't think that was too much to ask.

I am not sure about my impression of Mid Dakota Clinic - Center for Women anymore. I have been doctoring there now for five months and had visited 2 different staff members there. Both of them were phenomenal! I really felt I had found my place and felt that I was really taken care of and every single one of my needs were met and much more! It went beyond my expectations. I really felt cared for. Up until recently. My doctor that I admire and feel at ease with has chose to move due to some unforeseen circumstances at this Clinic. This clinic is willing to let excellent doctors leave when they keep nurses that stay on their phones and do personal things rather than care for patients. It makes me question what they really stand for. Needless to say I will not be going to Mid Dakota Clinic Center for Women anymore due to choices they have made in staffing.
