Was put on a medication for anxiety from this doctor. When I felt it wasn't working, he said we should switch. I said "fine" and asked if I should taper off the medication or just drop it. His nurse said just to drop it. I had awful side effects and found on WIKIPEDIA that I should have tapered off the medication. A doctor should be better than wikipedia.

I was sick for nearly 6 months with chest pain... Dr. Akkerman kept prescribing drug after drug... none of which worked. I had to keep making appointments because I was in so much pain, and in the end, he never did diagnose me. I had to go somewhere else.
