List of David Lien's Reviews
I saw Dr. Lien once at the urgent care. He was caring, compassionate, professional, very understanding of mental health, and really helped me. He is one of the rare these days physicians who doesn’t just throw meds at you but rather offers suggestions on how you can benefit from other therapies in conjunction with medications. This typically allows for lower doses of meds, therefore fewer and/or less severe potential side effects.
I had left another rating earlier, but now after reading My Sanford Chart notes, I am upset!! This is what HE wrote: SUBJECTIVE: XXX is a 54yr female who complains of sinus and nasal congestion, sore throat, chest congestion and productive cough for 5 days. She denies a history of fevers, myalgias, wheezing, shortness of breath and chest pain and denies a history of asthma. Smoking exposure: no smoking exposure. I never complained of sinus / nasal congestion NOR a 'productive' cough....my cough has been super dry & barky, and continuing to the point of vomiting. I also was running a slight temp, which he fails to acknowledge in his notes, as well as being extremely worn out, I explained I had whooping cough that didn't get treated properly in Bismarck in 2005, so I KNOW what my coughs are like/and what helps. I asked for an Rx of codeine cough syrup with my whooping cough hx. THEN, he got all serious. "No, we've found that codeine has more negative effects than positive, etc etc." I also explained what I do for work, nor wearing masks, being within 12" of other's faces, and many "unsavorable" people....he didn't even bring up testing for the COVID-19. Brushed me off as having a cold with his "nasal congestion" which I never once stated.
So my wife saw Dr. Lien at adult walk in two days ago. She had horrible stomach pain and had been prescribed meds for a bladder infection. Lien told her it was cause by stress and sent her home. Then that night we went to ER and Dr. Bakke ordered an Ultra sound and found her Colon was twisted so she had emergency surgery that night. Lien is pathetic cause if we would have waited much longer my wife’s Colon might have died resulting in her wearing a bag the rest of her life. Very unhappy with how this was handled at walk in.
Dr. Lien is very thorough & takes the time to answer your questions. Very compassionate & really cares. I would definitely recommend him.

Dr David Lien is a Great Doctor. He will not make you run around jumping from one diagnosis to the other, he is to the point, courteous and Truly helpful. He is Great Doctor.
I came in with swollen, red tonsils with white covering them. Dr. Lien would not give me anything besides pain meds. Two days later I ended up going into the emergency room because my tonsils were so swollen that I couldn't breathe, I was able to get antibiotics and a steroid drug there.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
