Both my knees were worn out. I was at the point where I couldn’t put in a good days work anymore. So I finally went into Bone And Joint Center, for the first time ever had my knees x-rayed and looked at. I was told I had the stage three arthritis, bone on bone. So I arranged to see Joe Carlson and asked him what he would do if my knees were his knees. He said he’d have total replacement surgery so I did it. At close to three months after surgery, I could go for long walks. I could also mow my yard which is really steep and has 4 retaining walls. So I had the left one done next. For some reason it went even better than the right one. At six weeks I am able to walk 3 miles. Go up and down steps, slowly. (17) at my house! I am off pain accept for an occasional night when I’ll Take one to help me sleep better. Kudos to Joe Carlson and the team at the surgical center and Bone And Joint Center. Including the physical therapist.
