Smp Health - St. Raphael's Online Review Report Card

I have worked at SMP - St. Raphael for nearly 45 years. I have had great grandparents, all my grandparents and my father live here and many other family and neighbors. They were always taken care of with love and compassion and I never had to worry about them. As someone with no higher education I have always been paid well and respected for my worth. I have now worked with 5 different administrators all with different leadership approaches but every one of them always had the residents and employees in their sights with every decision they had to make. No where is perfect but this facility is as close as it gets!!

Kinda sad when the administrator has to weigh in on the ratings of this horrible place, his name is Craig Christianson. The people that are caring for the residents on the floor, are at this time being over worked. Just an observation.

Staff are rude to patients and management are rude. Residents dont get the attention they need. Staff just dont care.

Thank you for being such kind, caring people who took such good care of my dad Melvin Z. before he passed away, and continue to care for my mom Florence. You do great work!

Unfortunately, my views have changed Yesterday, after not seeing my dear husband for a month, after moving him into a position making visiting easier, I kissed the top of his head with my mask on. I admitted doing so to to two staff members who ran inside to tattle like children and an arrogant social service director came out, reprimanding me like a child, and took him away from me cutting our precious visiting time short saying ,” You can see him at your next visit.” While I told them of my desire and intention to kiss his whole face, I had not done so or been observed doing so. We were outside, over six feet apart and had been wearing these stupid masks. We had let them fall for a few moments because we both find breathing with them on becomes difficult. I must admit, it took every ounce of self control I could muster, not to rip her hands off his wheelchair and cause her to be moved to a desirable distance from us. I have lots to say and will continue in a new post. Thanks for listening while I vent!

My thanks to the caring staff at Sheyenne Care Center. I can not say enough about the great people there. I could not ask for a better place to care for my parents at this time of their lives.

by letting residents that are able to do so go outside and get fresh air and sunshine.they need that the place smells stle among other odors....

Sheyenne Care Center does so much more then help people through end of life. Please come and visit if you have any questions about what we do. Our priority is to help people rehabilitate and move back home.
