Dr Matthys replaced my hip with no problems after the surgeons in Minot turned me away. I am waiting to get the other hip done now.

Dr. Matthys was willing to take on my husband's broken hip and do surgery immediately. We call from Sanford Hospital in Bemidji and were able to get to Fargo that night. We were not impressed with the traveling ortho doctor in Bemidji and did not feel comfortable having surgery in Bemdiji. Also Dr. Matthys did a full hip replacement on myself over 2 years ago. Recovery was fast and I feel great. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Matthys.

Dr. Matthys did a reverse total shoulder procedure on my Dad 4 months ago and it’s literally given him back the use of his arm. Highly recommended. Thanks Dr. Matthys!

Dr. Mathys helped relieve the pain in my hip bursa area. He knew what was wrong right away. Everyone there was very nice.

Called to schedule a visit regarding a work injury. Was informed that no appointments were in Fargo however if I would be willing to drive to Bismarck I could be seen. Accepted this appt. Got off a 10 hour shift, drove to Bismarck the night before because of weather conditions and because Dr. Matthys office stated I had to be on time. Paid for a hotel and next morning as I was leaving the hotel to attend my evaluation of a possible town menicisous and need for surgery, I received a call informing me the doctor was not coming to the appointment. I was further informed that the patients coming in from around Jamestown area reported bad weather conditions. We were left with no appointment and 2 days of hotel expenses. Receptionist had checked and was told that my records would be evaluated and by Friday I would have Dr. Matthys evaluation given that he failed to show up in Bismarck for the scheduled appointment. No results were provided on Friday. Called and was told review of tests, MRI would be completed by following week and again Dr. Matthys failed to respond. Would not recommend spending the time or money to schedule any type of appointment given he was a no show and failed to provide the service or evaluation.

No bedside manor. Pinched the political artery behind my knee. Woke up from surgery with numb/tingly leg from knee down. He said it was normal. Never looked at my incision. Had second surgery to open the artery by different surgeon. Matthys just said I was lucky I didn't loose my leg. Never admitted to what he did.

Dr. Matthys has done a great job replacing several of my joints. He gets right to point, does his job and does it well. Overall great doctor!

Dr. Matthys is very professional. He explained everything that was going to happen during my surgery. I had no complications and am recovering well. I completely forgot what it was like to be pain free!
