List of Hillcrest Health & Rehab's Reviews
Please do not send your loved ones to Hillcrest Health and Rehab in Bellevue. My mother was sent to Hillcrest after a fall that put her in the hospital for several weeks. Although mom has some memory issues, she is friendly, social and communicates well. Mom is a fall risk so along with PT and OT to build back her strength, she needed assistance walking, going to the bathroom and dressing. She is weak and has neuropathy often causing her much pain and numbness in her legs.My first impression of Hillcrest was positive. The facility was clean and mom's intake process went smoothly. This put our initial concerns aside. However, everything went downhill the following day and continued throughout the duration of mom's stay. My mom's daily basic hygiene needs were neglected. Upon our daily visits we noticed her hair had not been combed, she hadn't brushed her teeth and her general overall appearance always looked unkept. Mom complained several times that her call button was either ignored or she would have to wait a very long time for someone to help her. This caused her to have several accidents. On one occasion would she laid in soiled pants for most of the day only top be changed by one of her daughter's upon an evening visit. On one occasion, she was forgotten by staff and left in the bathroom. Fortunately for Hillcrest, she was able to get herself back to her bed without falling. Only one shower was provided during her eight day stay at Hillcrest. The only reason she got the one shower was because we insisted that she get one while we were there visiting one evening. After five days from her first shower, we complained again and we were assured that she would get one that evening. She never received it or a sponge bath for that matter. There was several incidences of her medication getting left in her med cup. This "oversight" continued even after we complained to the director of nursing. With the exception of a couple very hard working and attentive CNA's, the overall attitude of the staff at Hillcrest was very lackadaisical. The quality of care was subpar and frankly unacceptable to say the least. As for Jim J., VP owner and "head of customer Navigation," don't bother patronizing me with your scripted, lazy and "go to response" You will be hearing from me soon enough.
Our mom spent from December 28, 2021 to January 28,2022 at Hillcrest Millard. As a rehabilitation facility our experience was less than positive. We repeatedly voiced our ideas to help our mom become strong enough to return to her home, but to our concerns these improvements were not happening. We witnessed basic needs not being met along with little to no support from the staff. We feared the safety of our mom during her stay and we questioned the "care" she was receiving. Not one time did anyone reach out to our family to ease our concerns, or address the issues talked about during weekly meetings. All questions, concerns, and complaints were to be documented, written up, and addressed but we were never given an update on any issues we brought to the attention of the staff. From the day our mom entered Hillcrest Millard to the day she left we were left uninformed on all levels. Not all questions were directed toward her progress with PT and OT, several questions pertained directly to her medical conditions from wounds that were not healing to why and what medications she was receiving. We felt that Hillcrest was run more like a corporation instead of a healthcare facility. Everyone wanted to pass the buck and we had to try and chase down answers. We were met with nothing more than closed doors or higher staff that were unavailable.
The help seems combative while following instructions.
Such beautiful facility’s and amazing people!
I've met many of the caregivers and management that work here, and I have been so impressed with the compassion and care that they give. I've even met the administrator and she is an AMAZING human being. The food is delicious (home made ice cream with flavor of the day!) and the therapy is the best I've ever seen. Keep up the great work Hillcrest Health and Rehab!
If you can help it do not send your loved ones to this facility. Unfortunately, this is the 3rd time my dad has been at this place. Each time he was placed here after a fall and this was not the family’s choice but instead the only place that had a bed for him. I believe there is a reason this place always has availability. My mom and I did a late visit yesterday – arrived around 6:30 p.m. to find my dad sitting in a wheelchair of which he said he had been sitting in since 4:30. We were surprised to find him there as he has a fractured hip/femur. He can be moved but with some restrictions. His food tray was still sitting in front of him. He said he had pushed the nurse button 3 times and no one had been in yet. My mom went to find help of which 2 workers arrived. They said they would use a hoist to get him back in bed. My mom had to inform them they could not use a hoist as that was in his orders. We asked how he got moved to the wheelchair and they said they didn’t know because the afternoon shift moved him, and they didn’t receive any updates on my dad from the afternoon shift. Upon moving him we noticed his brief was extremely wet – so wet when he was moved to his bed the wheelchair looked as if someone had just dumped a bottle of water on it. I asked when the last time they checked his brief and again they couldn’t provide an answer. I asked how much longer he would’ve sat in that chair if we hadn’t arrived and they said not long because they were making their rounds to get everyone to bed. Interesting when we arrived there wasn’t a worker in sight. This place deserves zero stars, but that's not an option.IF POSSIBLE DO NOT SEND ANYONE TO THIS PLACE!
I hate it
Horrible care.Three seperate issues in less than two weeks. Avoid placing your loved ones in this facility.
Please do not send anyone you care about to this facility. My dad was sent there for rehab after suffering a stroke from the hospital. Upon entering place he was able to feed and bathroom himself. He could walk very well with walker and could dress himself with some aid. While there he declined severely. When I would inquire about his health I was told they only do bloodwork and nurse visits on Tuesday. Long story short he ended up back in hospital. He arrived at hospital from there with no shoes, no walker and a handwritten note with his name and a few medical stats. He died less than two week later. They never found his walker or most of his belongings. This place is the worst. I would honestly give it zero stars.
This place added insult to injury for my 81 year old mother, who was sent there to recover from Covid and gall bladder surgery. She was treated poorly or ignored and given little information about her condition. On more than one occasion, she had to wait many hours for attention. When I called to check on her, either no one picked up the phone or I was passed on to person after person who showed no interest in my questions. I will do anything to make sure no one I care about is stuck here.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
