Duke City Primary Care In Edgewood's Online Review Report Card

No way of knowing if they are open a the websites for the locations say they are open, but apparently the scheduling line is closed. I want to know if it is worth driving 40 miles if they aren't open.

It was great very professional and a good experience only complaint not enough parking they need to increase parking otherwise it's a long uphill walk even if you're lucky enough to find a parking spot

APARRENTLYTHIS IS NOT AN URGENT CARE ! I cut my hand earlier today and I needed stitches I Googled urgent care near me and this place popped up so I called and asked if it was something they could handle . They asked for my date of birth and told me that I couldnt been seen for several days as I had never been seen there before . So I said I thought you could just come into an urgent care for non emergent issues and the receptionist or whoever she was , was very rude and told me they aren't an urgent care and I would have to drive to Albuquerque. There is no way I can drive to Albuquerque bleeding all over the place . If this is indicative of the way they treat folks I will never go there ever, I would just as soon keep driving to Rio rancho for primary care services . Also if they aren't an urgentcare they need to adjust their website to not pop up in the search for urgent care facilities . This woman chose to be of no help but its just as well I saved myself the trouble of an overpriced visit and just used some surgical glue to fix myself up.

The staff are nice but the providers are very rude and arrogant and seem like they’re more worried about their license than patient care. Never making another appointment at this specific clinic again personally. Moriarty is much better and will treat you with respect (professional) instead of talking down to you like a child.

I have been going there for a few years, followed my excellent doctor (5+) there from another service and have been extremely happy with my doctor. The staff does not send documents for testing as requested by doctor and when you arrive for testing it takes up to 1 hour to get documents sent. They switch from your doctor to another without telling you until last minute. Cancel your appointment just days before after waiting up to 6 months. Duke City is a continued pain in the butt to deal with. When you call with a question trust me, they don't know and you will be on hold a long time. If it were not for my great doctor I'd dump them in a heartbeat, Not recommended if your looking.

A person goes to the Dr. to describe their symptoms and then the Dr. will mostly give you options for relief of your symptoms. However, that wasn't the case. I'd rather give my copay to the internet because that's where I was able to find more useful information Kathy Wolf.

Kathy Wolfe needs to be removed from this office. I have seen her many times and she does not care about my mental health or physical health whatsoever. All the bad reviews you read about her, believe them.

Called multiple times to make an appointment and the phone was never answered. Drove to the office only to be told they do not take walk-in appointments. The two women at reception simply shrugged and implied it wasn't their problem.If you have a medical issue that needs attention, keep driving.

Update: Lost another star as I still haven’t gotten the lab bill resolved. I have called 9 times, emailed main marketing office, spoke to office management.. and I still have a bill that I shouldn’t have. Have been promised a call back with every 9 calls I made - not one. It’s all on me to keep hounding them and I have no idea why the push back to submit a correct order to the lab. Again, I have never experienced this before ever and nothing with my health has changed. And never this bad of customer service from a medical provider office.The office staff, MA and physician (Dr. Carla Rudolph) were nice and polite. I recently moved to Albuquerque from Northern Virginia and needed to establish care. After being on several wait lists, I decided to travel a bit further to Edgewood for a primary care physician. When making the appointment, I was not informed that they were going to "double" charge my physical as a preventative health physical and an office visit because I have never been there before. No further services were provided outside of a physical on that visit, but since I was establishing care they charge you an office visit on top of your physical. When I called, they stated the service provided was collecting my medical history. I informed the provider about pre-existing conditions and they were coded as if newly discovered. Needless to say, I received a high bill that I wasn't expecting for no addition services rendered. They also coded my lab order wrong so I received a bill from Quest which should have been covered preventatively at first. If you chose this office (or any Duke City for that matter), just be diligent to check your EOB to see if they are billing for additional services not provided and be aware that establishing care (5 minute conversation) will be charged a full office visit. The physician also wanted to schedule an office visit to talk about my labs. I made the appointment but once I received my lab work back and nothing was new, I cancelled the appointment and sent a secure message to the physician with my previous year labs and scans and stated that I did not see a need to keep the follow up appointment. I never received a response from the physician. Every other time I have had labs, I have received a message from the physician with recommendations and I have never been billed for an office visit to establish care (I have moved a few times over the last 10 years). Overall, the practice seems to be more money hungry than I am used to and for that I am thankful to be in good health and only go to see the doctor once a year for a physical!

When I arrived the receptionist was turning away an elderly man for being late. She explained that they are on a time schedule and since he was 15 minutes late they could not see him and that there would still be a charge even though he was not seen. He explained to her that he needed his prescriptions refilled and only had enough for that day. She informed him that he would have to call in and request that the doctor call in a prescription until he could be seen on Monday of next week. I was 10 minutes early for my X-ray only appointment. I waited 40 minutes, 30 minutes past my appointment time and then asked the receptionist if she could check on why it was taking so long. She went to the back and talked with the X-ray person quite loudly and then came back to the front and said she was running behind. I told her hmmm it’s ok for your office to be over 30 minutes late with no consequences however the elderly man who was 15 minutes late could not be seen, was charged, could not get his prescriptions he needed and had to reschedule. Quite the double standards. Needless to say I did not get a response.
