List of Gina Direnzo-Coffey's Reviews
We had an awful experience with Dr. Direnzo-Coffey. When my baby had trouble gaining weight, she blamed me since I was breastfeeding him. When I was 6 weeks postpartum, she gave me terrible advice about breastfeeding which negatively affected my breastmilk supply to the point that I couldn't breastfeed anymore. I didn't realize I was given poor advice until months later when I talked to other doctors and lactation consultants about it. But of course, she blamed me for my milk supply decreasing. What made us ultimately leave is her old school ways of helping kids. When she was given research articles supporting another way to treat a baby, she basically refused and said "this is how I've always done it". I couldn't believe that a doctor was against learning and applying new researched based information to help babies. We switched pediatricians when my son was 2 months old. It was the best decision we made for him.
We worked with Dr. Coffey for 2 years with my daughter. My son was born and we started experiencing feeding problems at about 2 weeks of age. I was keen to figure out what was going on and suggested that he had laryngomalacia, an airway disorder in the second week of his life. She was adamant that he didn't have this. The next week he was diagnosed with this and feeding problems worsened until at 2 months old he fell to the 10th percentile. I asked her for every referral and was the only proactive person in this situation, she had no plans pushed breastfeeding on me telling me that a swallow study was unwarranted and that even if he was aspirating they would only put him on thickened feeds. she blocked treatment and minimized his feeding issue. Now he is being tube fed. She gaslighted me and chalked it up to me being overly anxious. The only way I could get her to take action was for my husband to attend the appointment with me. I strongly discourage working with her.

This is a very unprofessional physician who talks about patients and their families to other patients. She is demeaning to nurses and disrespectful. She ordered unnecessary tests on my child without me knowing and without justification. She’s very unsure of herself and is lacking in higher level assessment skills. Don’t waste your time going to her.
Dr. is unprofessional to say the least. Don't get on her bad side. As stated in another review, she badmouths those she doesn't like. Not very good bedside manner. Not the values you would want to care for your child.
Dr Coffey acts professional in front of patients but rudely talks about them to other nurses and doctors. Very inconsiderate and judgemental. Has spread rumors about people in her personal life to patients. Very unprofessional. Would not trust this doctor.
horrible person. Disrespectful. Talks about patients when they aren't around. Unprofesional. Not trustworthy.
AMAZING Dr!
We have tried other pediatricians, even highly rated ones and we immediately came back because Coffey really cares about children and people in general. She takes an interest very far beyond what's necessary and researches current treatments to remain up to date on what's best for her patients. We were really lucky to have found her.
Dr. Gina is the greatest!!!!! but Office Staff is Very very...Rude!!!!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
