Dr. Loraine Edwards may be a capable neurologist. However, her professionalism is in question. We sent a private note to Dr. Edwards to express concerns about our family member's neurological symptoms because we were uncertain they would share their issues. We expected that she would consider the information we provided along with her professional expertise and first-hand knowledge of our family member to evaluate their issues and make treatment decisions. What she did was shocking. She gave the letter to our family member during their visit! Being a neurologist, Dr. Edwards deals with people with various complex brain disorders that can affect a patient's ability to communicate issues they are having effectively. Our letter was intended to add information for her consideration. We do not understand why she chose to give them the letter, but doing so caused a severe rift between us and our family member. We cannot perceive any scenario where giving them the letter was necessary or appropriate. I cannot recommend her as a neurologist for the above-stated reasons. Her action, in this case, was unprofessional, detrimental to her patient, completely eroded our trust in her, and was beyond egregious.

Her action caused a rift between my husband and those of us who wrote the letter, was stressful for him, was detrimental to HER patient & contributed to his condition, was unprofessional, completely eroded our trust, and was beyond egregious.

Moved here from Phoenix, AZ where two Banner Neurology doctors did much testing including several Brain scans which showed markers of Parkinson’s. During initial consult with Dr Edwards she asked for their names. One was a Spanish doctor the second was from India. She made a face and did not write down the names I provided. She declined the contact information. She then told me to stand and walk to the corner of the small exam room, come back and sit down. Diagnosis then provided saying I did not have Parkinson’s at all. And that was that. She treated my Aunt who also had Parkinson’s, M. Skarin. My guess is Dr. Edwards will not accept the well documented and tested diagnosis of two foreign named doctors.

Dr. Edwards takes care of her patients as though they are family. She works hard to make sure patients’ needs are taken care of by providing the most valued care. Dr. Edwards is dedicated to providing state of the art diagnosis and treatment for patients with many neurological conditions. This year with COVID-19 Central Nebraska Neurology has taken the extra step to implement telehealth virtual visits in order to protect patients and staff against COVID. Many healthcare organizations have had to implement using telehealth, however Dr. Edwards has taken extra precautionary steps to be sure her patients and staff remain safe. Central Nebraska Neurology takes pride in being able to provide patient satisfaction as well as patient safety. Central Nebraska Neurology ensures all patients receive professional quality care and believes that all patients are important. They do their best to help engage patients and families in ways that lead to improved patient satisfaction.

Dr Edwards was terrible. Didnt care about my epilepsy at all. Just kept upping the medicine that wasn't working. I went to a new neurologist, they switched my meds and now haven't had a seizure in over a year.
