Alyssa C. Rutan's Online Review Report Card

Why does this doctor list “infertility” as a specialty? She is not sub-specialized in endocrinology and infertility. Touting a practice for “treating menstrual disorders” is like an average nurse making a big deal about an ability to give injections. So unimpressive.

My wife was a patient with Alyssa C. Rutan For the first trimester of her pregnancy. We had a lot of issues with this Doctor and her staff. 1- the first test they took was wrong they said my wife was not pregnant but later tests showed she was pregnant 37 days before that false test. 2- our insurance covers pregnancy/maternity visits at %100. We kept getting bills from Rutan’s office until I decide to call them after about 5-6 times and called my insurance a few times they said get Dr Rutan’s staff online I got both: parties on conference call; it appeared Dr. Rutan’s staff were only submitting one code instead of 3 codes. We got it sorted it but cost me a lot of headaches and phones. 3-before we signed up with Rutan we made sure they were aware that my wife was not comfortable with male Docs. They told us there was only a few male Doctors the rest are females we were ok with it. I used to go with my wife to help her with language barriers. Until they stopped allowing others to accompany the patient . They got an interpreter on the phone who happens to be a friend of ours my wife did not feel comfortable sharing pregnancy info with him and as she tried to let the doctor know that instead of respecting my wife privacy doctor called me to inform me that she no longer want to give care to my wife and that we have to find a different doctor.

Had my first ever pap smear and annual check up with Dr. Rutan today. She was very kind and professional, and made sure to check if I had any questions. She talked me through what she was doing and did her best to ease my discomfort. Highly recommend

If I could give zero stars for Dr. Alyssa Rutan I would. Went to her for my first pregnancy and regret not leaving her. She makes you feel stupid for asking questions and any symptom or problem I had she acted like it was no big deal or I was over reacting . She was very in and out at my appointments and never made me feel comfortable. I should have left her in the beginning but I kept giving her chances. During/after delivery she made sarcastic remarks that was very unprofessional. Bed side manor sucks. It is pretty sad that she is a women’s OBGYN and makes other women feel like crap. Her office couldn’t get me in till 11 weeks postpartum even when I told them something wasn’t right. So I went to my general doctor for my postpartum check and had to be referred to a specialist for an issue. So the fact that Rutans office couldn’t get me in is horrible in my opinion. Highly highly do not recommend!!

I had both of my children with Dr Rutan she is absolutely amazing I wouldn’t go to anybody else to have my babies she connected with me she was patient with me she was absolutely everything I cannot stress how wonderful she is I wish I could give her 20 million stars because five stars just isn’t enough for how well she takes care of her patients

She is an amazing doctor! She has been with me through all 3 of my pregnancies and has been so wonderful!

Currently in the process of leaving Dr. Rutan at 18 weeks pregnant. She isn't terrible and I can't say she's not a good doctor. I just think shes... cold. Thats the best way i can describe it. An I feel like she wantedme in and out of her office as fast as possible.

Dr Rutan is absolutely wonderful.

I think that Dr Rutan and her nurse is AWESOME! I was so scared once learning that I needed a hysterectomy; but they were so great about answering all questions. And also making me feel secure in my desicion to move forward and have a fibroid tumor removed. I can't say thank you enough Dr. Rutan in helping me have a better quality of life! And also caring enough to share your playlist 🎶 lol! so that I would be comfortable during the removing of the staples process. Tyyonda

Will never go back to her or her office. Wish I would have left her at 24weeks pregnant instead of trusting that she knew what she is doing and it was in my best interest. That wasnt the case and after all her lies and medical interventions, I was left traumatized from a c-section that could have been avoided had I done my research and left her early on. Horrible doctor and liar
