Amy Garwood's Online Review Report Card

Dr Garwood listens to every idea you have, always willing to try something new if it will help you. She knows everything about you and protects you from using a drug that might harm you. I can't thank her enough for her excellent care.

You notice that the only reviews that are NOT Five Star, are problems with Dr Garwood's front Office Staff, and I have had 2 occasions with similar results, But Amy Garwood Is Really Exceptional, and I trust her with this very painful disease!!! I have four children who are all M.D.s at different Harvard Medicine teaching hospitals, and I'm old enough to have experienced many M.D.s, so I will still continue to see Dr Garwood!!!

Dr Amy’s my favorite and one of the best Dr’s I’ve had. She amazingly remembers your info.& needs, but if by chance she doesn’t, she’s got the best notes ever at her fingertips. She truly cares about how your feeling & doing and spends time with you. There’s rarely a time when you’d feel rushed in and out. I’d recommended her to anyone.

Always curteous and respectable. She cares about you and it shows.

Apmt was for 12:45. thought my apmt might be 1:45. I called 3 times between 12 and 1 pm to double check. They had answering machine message saying the office was closed between 12 and 1 pm so I assumed 12:45 could not be correct. I called 3 times before 1 pm just to be sure. when i finally reached the office at 1 pm they said that since I was not there in time I could never be seen by their office. I could have made it on time if their answering machine had not said they were closed or if they had answered the phone. I dont think I need the full blame for missing the appointment.

I don’t have a very good opinion about Dr. Harwood. Her office waited till two days before my appointment to let me know that they do not take Medicare advantage. I was on hold for two months to get into this appointment. Now I have to start the process all over and try to find another arthritis doctor to look at me. I was not very happy with their lack of consideration.

My coverage is Medica with supplemental copays from a federal grant, and this is the only approved rheumatologist for me to see. It took me over 5 months to be approved for recommendation and jump through all of the hoops. The Morning of my appointment, my car wouldn’t start. When I called to let them know they informed me currently that I could never be seen at the clinic due to their policy of 24 hours notice. I will now have to go to Kansas City and go through all of the hoops just to get Care.

Dr Garwood listens!! Works with you to make a plan that puts you in control of your health and symptoms!! Very compassionate, caring, and doesn’t sugar coat information or treat you like a idiot or number!! Staff friendly and very helpful!

I agree with above, I love her and the way she practices as an MD. You are not going to find any better!!!!
