I precheck in on My Chart for appointments but receptionists still stop me and go thru check in info?? My Chart even prints a bar code the patient can print then wave it at the kiosk to check in but there is no kiosk and staff does not seem to be aware of any such procedure? There seems to be a disconnect between what is available online versus in office. Dr Rector is great! Very caring, knowledgeable, and professional.

ZERO STAR! My mother, who had symptoms of GERD went into see Dr Rector. She did not have any diarrhea or blood in the stool. Instead of doing a stool test to see if she really has H. Pylori, the doctor did a BLOOD TEST and then gave a prescription for H. Pylori treatment RIGHT AFTER she left the office. 1). As far as I know, most blood test results do not come back instantaneously and requires at least a few hours to a day. This is no exception. The nurse called me back that same day and told me the results indicated that SHE DOES HAVE H. PYLORI?????!!!!! 2). Dr prescribed her a regimen for H. Pylori BEFORE CONFIRMING positive infection. The blood test was to test for antigens, which would not have shown if my mother had an active bacterial infection in the gut. 3). Why would you NOT do a stool test FIRST? H. Pylori is in the gut and stomach, it would make more sense to do a stool test, or to an extreme, an endoscopy, but then that would be out of scope of practice. 4). Mom took the drugs for 2 days and had serious side effects from it. She had right abdominal pain so bad that it made her throw up. She became more fatigue, can't eat, and weaker than before. Her outcome was worse than before taking the medications. I told her to stop the medications and called her GI doctor. 5). GI doctor advised to call Dr. Rector back to let him know what happened. I called the office and left a message with a nurse on 5/18/2020. Today is 5/28/2020, it has been 10 DAYS, yet NO ONE from the office cared to give us a call back!!!!! 6). GI doctor did a stool test for H. Pylori and came back NEGATIVE! I am glad I stopped her medication! They also stated that you cannot do a blood antigen test for H. Pylori to be accurate. Either a stool sample or an endoscopy to test for the bacteria. 7). Dr failed to check whether Clarithromycin + Metronidazole would be safe for my mother to take considering her other health conditions! Both of these medications may have worsen her other health condition. AND she took these medications unnecessarily! the unnecessary adverse effects could have been prevented! It has been 10 days since I called this office about the adverse effects of the medications and NO ONE has called us back! Terrible and irresponsible. :(

My first appointment was impressive. He took time to read over my file ahead, listened to my concerns, and then we made a priority list together. Dr. Rector took time for extensive note taking and valued my input.

Best doctor in Lincoln my whole family goes through it any problems ever have he fixes us right up.but wont go to any other doctor hope he is my lifelong doctor thank-you dr. Rector

I go to Dr. Rector because he takes the time to listen, he takes the time to help understand and treat. He doesn't just pass you off as quickly as possible. I've been seeing him for over 6+ years because of this.
