List of Shannon E. Wakeley's Reviews
Dr. Wakely was always very kind to me, her PA, not so much, she would always disregard all my concerns and I would always get to my car and cry bc I felt so helpless and unheard (I was 17 years old being told my extreme fatigue and hairloss, hormone issues were fine) I have had thyroid issues for over a decade, their only remedy to help my symptoms was to up my thyroid meds or lower them…I was constantly swinging between hypo and hyper bc of this. It was miserable. Please save your money and just go to a holistic practitioner, you’ll actually get relief as the thyroid is much more complex then just taking a pill.
This doctor is very knowledgeable and friendly and patient. She is one the best doctors I have seen.
I have driven 11/2 hours twice and talked to her for 5 min. Then sent on my way. Doesn't seem to care that I am losing all my hair. Told to go have labs done and then when I went she didn't order the labs that she said she would. I had to have the lab call to get the order because they never sent it.
Shannon and Aaron and the staff there are the best in town. I wouldn’t ever go to any other doctor to help me with my type 1.
For the past 2 years I have specifically made an appointment with Dr. Wakeley. I arrive at my appointment and I meet with Dr. Wakeley's P.A. Emily. I was recently admitted into the hospital, and Dr. Wakeley ordered me to stay an extra day because she didn't follow through and get the latest lab work. I called her office every 15 minutes for 2 hours trying to talk to Dr. Wakely directly -- the Staff didn't relay that I had told them it was urgent I speak with her. I had an appointment THAT DAY with Wakeley and she couldn't even call me at the hospital DURING MY SCHEDULED VISIT! When she did finally call 4 hours later, she had an attitude instead of concern for my needs. Will be going elsewhere, as I feel that it's sad when an "office" makes a perfectly good doctor into someone who is too busy or too distracted to care for her patients.
Was treated poorly. PA spent mote time with me and my husband. Got a different doctor right away.
was referred to Complete Endo by my family doctor. I am challenged to do my part. Dr Wakely has vast understanding of diabetic behavior. I never feel condemmed , rather her challenge is to do my part. Her PA Emily, also has a vast knowledge of diabetic care. She also challenges me to do my part. I cant believe I could be served better
Worst doctor experience I've had in years. Had to wait 4 months for an appointment. When I was seeking help for weight loss due to a common hormonal imbalance, all she said was she could refer me to bariatric surgery. She was much more interested in getting me out of her office than treating me as a patient who suffers from a terrible disease I cannot control. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Better to go to Omaha than see her.
The best endocrinologist in Lincoln Nebraska. The staff in the office is great. Always friendly and will help you out with anything you need. She got my diabetes under control and keeps a close eye on my sugars. Dr Wakeley and her staff truly care about the patients.
Dr. Wakeley went above and beyond to listen to my issues. I would recommend her to anyone!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
