List of Todd F. Orchard's Reviews
If you’re a breast cancer patient, run. He blames other surgeons for his mistakes, does no post op care until there’s a problem and explains only the surgeries he wants to complete. He botched my mastectomy and I will have subsequent surgeries to repair done in Omaha. Keep on driving.
Dr Orchard is caring and patient, he has a gentle personality that I appreciated him. I met him after being diagnosed with breast cancer. His office opened once on a Sunday for me and was always available to me, we had telehealth phone appointments during Covid 19. I believe in him and he never gave me any reason to question my belief. He is a wonderful plastic surgeon, and I recommend him whole heartedly. I appreciate and thank him.
I had a mastectomy approximately 5 years ago, with an implant, and a reduction on the non-affected side. My implant has incapsulated, which may not be his fault entirely, but this was visible early on in the process. It is extremely painful and much higher on that side. On the non-affected side, I decided to have a reduction and a lift at the same time. From post-op day one, still in the hospital, he told my husband and I that there may be one area that breaks open on the incision because that happens alot with his other patients, so that we would expect it. It dehised (broke open) immediately and was the size of a 50 cent piece. At follow up appointment, I was told to treat it with Neosporin type ointment and it would heal. It was open over a month and I finally started treating it with self prescribed ointment. My scarring if far worse on my "good side" with very poor outcome on the "lift". My non-cancer affected breast looks like a saggy, deflated tire. I felt like Dr. Orchard did not show any concern over the complications. I had finally stopped going to him for follow ups and treated it myself. I have had 3 other plastic surgeons tell me the implant looks too big/tight for the mastectomy side and that they were now hesitant to "fix it", incase I would not be able to heal, following all of the radiation I received on that side. Please shop around before you choose a surgeon. I am still trying to get it fixed 5 years later and having a lot of pain.
Very nice and friendly! He cut The cancer off my mom's ear, and had no complications. He explained everything to my mom and to me. Would highly recommend him.
He botched my wife's double mastectomy. She had to have another Doctor do what he could to fix it. My wife suffered greatly as a result. I recommend staying away from him.
He is AMAZING!!!! I had a botched surgery where I had a mastectomy with expanders then implants, had issues the first dr tried to fix but it didn't make the sharp pain when breathing or the uniboob any better. Went to Dr. Orchard and he found the expanders were filled too quickly causing chest deformities (dents) under the implants. He removed the implants and worked with me on fat transfer reconstruction since my chest wall couldn't handle the weight of implants. HE IS THE BEST!!! I recommend!!
Orchard is a friendly person. However, he did not explain any of the complications associated with mastectomy and reconstruction. He blew right through the options and directed me toward immediate reconstruction. Never mentioned the very strong likelihood that I would develop capsular contraction on the breast that had previously undergone radiation. Never mentioned post-mastectomy pain syndrome.
Dr. Orchard performed my reconstructive surgery after my bilateral mastectomy in 2006. He ignored symptoms and my requests to culture an infection. I trusted him. I continued to lose weight and my wound got worse. I went back to his office 4-5 times with concerns. I was reassured that the antibiotics he was giving me were "fine and would cover a wide variety of infections". I finally went in for second opinion only to be informed that I had a MRSA staff infection that was very close to going septic in my blood. This infection ate thru the tissue around my breast area and I had a hole in my body that wet all the way to my breast bone. I had to wear a wound vac for many months 24 hours a day and skin graphing to close the hole in my chest. His neglect almost cost me my life.
He did my surgery after a mastectomy. I was not healing and finally the implant popped out. Dr Orchard sewed me up. I went back to my general surgeon who referred me to the wound center. I had a staph infection. The wound center referred me to another surgeon who immediately admitted me to the hospital to have my wound cleaned out twice and for 24 hour antibiotics. Dr. Orchard ignored my symptoms. I was very sick. I wanted to trust my doctor. It was a very bad summer. I will never get it back.
Dr Orchard is awesome . I am very picky about my Drs but I am completly comfortable with Dr Orchard . He has a wonderful bed side manner and is very caring and enjoys what he does . His staff is also very friendly . Go to Dr Orchard for you plastic surgeon needs ... you won't regret it .

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
