Wish I could give zero stars! Terrible service; told me he was getting me a prescription I really needed, when it was not at my pharmacy I called and left numerous messages at the office throughout the day. He never returned my call or fixed his mistake. It was a Friday so I was without the medication until I could go back and see another doctor that Monday. I had to take extra time off work because of his mistake.

Dr David Gerst III, had now moved his practice from Michigan to Mount Vernon Internal Medicine in Lorton, VA. Today, my 82 yr old mom had an in person consultation with him, as her first visit with this doctor. This doctor showed so much patience in answering questions & in explaining well. He showed sincere care in examining my mom. And is easy to talk with. My mom is lucky to find Dr Gerst, since her previous primary care physician had retired. I would wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone looking for an internal medicine Dr.
