Worst bedside manner ever. I would NEVER reccommend him. I would give him a half star if it were possible.

While Dr Simonson is a good surgeon, his care and attentiveness towards his patients are lacking. Post surgery, I was prescribed pain medication that I'm allergic to. Then I was prescribed meds that aren't effective (I had them with a previous surgery). After 2 days of back and forth, intense pain, and no sleep, I had to go to my GP to get medication to ease my pain. Almost 3 months post surgery and I'm an still having intense discomfort and pain. The doctor's solution is to "wait". While everyone at the office is very nice, they seem to lack the most important detail when being a medical care provider: listening to the patient.

Horrible - made me feel like post operative pain after 4 months was exaggerated and I was essentially told he had done his job. According to medical reviews 60% of post ventral hernia mesh repairs have complications and extended pain issues. I had to find myself someone more experienced and less arrogant.
