Dr Houghton really listens to the patient and responds with appropriate action. Better yet, he believes his patients’ narrative about the problem they’re experiencing. He has helped my husband through a couple of situations and from one bad gastroenterologist. If you want a skilled practitioner who listens with empathy, this is your guy. Also responds to email which is awesome.

I have been with Dr. Houghton for 20 and a half years. In all of my health situations I have never been treated as just a number but as a person whom he genuinely cares about. He always has taking the time needed to help me to fully understand what's going on and the next steps we need to take in order to make the issue better along with follow up, until he finds what would work best for me. Dr Houghton was one of the 1st Dr's that seemed like he cared about me as a patient. I think I was somewhat taken aback by this. I did not have to be a drama mama he just listened. Great Dr.
