Carrie A.B. Hoarty's Online Review Report Card

Doctor Hoarty is a phenomenal internal medicine / primary care doctor. In a world ruled by insurance monopolies and RVUs, her visits give you a taste of the “old world “ of medicine, when doctors used to spend more than 7 minutes with patients. Doctor Hoarty cares about patients’ social history as well as medical history. From a medical standpoint, her training in both pediatrics and geriatrics gives her a broad bandwidth. She is efficient, yet caring and very professional. I look forward to my visits with her !

Professional: methodical and smart, current, courteous. I am grumpy in middle age; had a useful intake visit.

Dr. Hoarty has been a wonderful primary care doctor for my young adult child who has special needs. She is kind and caring, and we never feel rushed at our appointments. Dr. Hoarty was recommended to us by our trusted pediatrician when my child aged out of his practice. I have great respect for her, and recommend her to others.

She's OK. Doesn't spend much time with you. The staff answering the phones & making appointments are a pain.

Dr. Hoarty is a nice doctor, no complaints there. However, the billing is a little steep at Boystown as compared to other clinics. Sure, insurance companies have "contractual" prices but theirs is definitely higher. Watch for double billing... Preventive med check vs. established patient visit with a "mentionable" issue. Insurance covers one (preventive health check)completely at 100%, but then they bill you on top of that... so, essentially, you pay once, but they get paid twice!! Not fair but apparently a legal thing to do. Just sharing for the general public.

We really liked Dr Hoarty until she seemed to be unable to handle difficult cases. She continues to allow her nursing staff to act like medical doctors especially Amanda.. if you can actually get pass her nurses -she doesn’t believe the patient vs her nurses And refuses to help you because of them. She has a hard time listening to you or actually being there in the office. She has harmed our family member so bad. Dr Hoarty actually gave the wrong medicine and injured them that put our family member in the hospital -and was angry when we brought it up while acting like she didn’t care.Beware of going there and seeing her Because if you require extra help or have other medical needs she is unwilling to help you and will throw you out. Beware all your information- it was breached and HIPPA was broken and they didn’t care. Don’t go to this Dr unless you want to die by her own hands. We’re saddened on how boys town internal medicine has behaved and will be seeking an attorney for Dr Hoarty.

I have mixed feelings about Dr. Hoarty. When you can actually get in to see her, it's usually a good visit. She listens to you and is very caring. The biggest problem is getting into see her. I normally wait on hold for at least 5 minutes before getting a person. I have to usually wait for weeks to get in to see her. Usually I have to call multiple times before they will even schedule me with her.

We fired her due to her inappropriate conduct. Several of my family members used to trust her, but after what she has done, we fired her. Wish we had known about her conduct before she did so much damage.
