While he was at unmc many years ago, he saved my life! He cares about you as a person, not as just another patient. I owe him so much for how he turned my life around. When I heard the news that he was leaving umnc and going to boys town, I was crushed, but excited for his new adventure helping others. I would recommend him to anyone anytime.

It was the worst experience ever!!! he put me through a video EEG and expected me to have huge grand mal seizures and then has the guts to tell my family that I am having fake seizures but yet he puts me back on an anti-seizure med that is for actual epileptic seizures!! I got released and over the next few months he slowly starts to decrease my medication and I start having seizures. I called the office and he’s on the phone with me and he gets so rude that he tells me, “ The F@$King medication won’t work you do not have seizures!!!” Very very unprofessional for a doctor to even come out and say that to his patient! I then turned around and made an appointment and the guy couldn’t even have the guts to walk in!! he put me with a PA and years later I’m now finding out that I not only have seizures in my left temporal lobe, but now in my right temporal lobe and had to have an increase on the medication that he tried to take me off of! I wouldn’t recommend this neurologist to anyone!!!he is a loser!!! he doesn’t care about his patients and whatever diagnosis he gives he is just going to take upon himself to think he’s right regardless of the patients care and history and overall health!

I have fought years, with many so called children's specialist in neurology, and all they did is throw many high dose, dangerous drugs at my daughter and they were very cold. NOT ONE even attempred to find out why hers started at 13, or cared...until I was referred to Madhavan! I really owe him my life, and my daughters. 1st one who cared, wasn't cold and 1st thing he did was remove the dangerous drugs and used better and less harmful ones, we have had week long eeg's in hospital twice, HE CARES!! I can't thank him enough. Life's tough enough being epilepsy warrior-to have to deal with uncaring neurole gusts is unacceptable. Thank you Dr. MADHAVAN!!

Dr. Madhavan is a wonderful neurologist and his nurses Monica and Crystal are fantastic too. He helped properly diagnose my type of epilepsy in 2012 after having been misdiagnosed for two years. He is not pushy and is easy to talk to. If possible, he places the treatment and options in front of you to pick and he will help you through and if you want more input, he'll give it. He has been great!

Great doctor. There were times I was handed off to the PA that were disappointing but I realize he didn't need to be there. He assissted my prior neurologist in diagnosing me and listens to me in how I want to be treated medically. When I asked him to be more assertive in what he thought I should do, he was. His nurses Crystal and Monica are wonderful, he couldn't have a better team working with him!

For the first couple years it seemed that maybe this office was better. But over the last few it has not. My child still has seizures. Thus office dies not care about the cause, they just load your child with more more meds, ruining the quality of life and they have no clue what the long term damage will be. I felt forced into a VNS device implanted and my child complains that it HURTS. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT GENETICS, TRIGGERS outside of what THEY call normal. They refused to get to the root of the issue. My child's seizures have increased severely and Monica who USED to be a great advocate has developed a chip on her shoulder, REFUSING to let my daughter SEE Dr. Madhavan in fear I will bring up things like FOOD TRIGGERS, her genetic disorder called MTHFR, which 40%-70% of people have, making FOLIC ACID TOXIC. It may also affect other patients negatively. They do not want to hear the truth. They are part of the problem in healthcare. Testing symptoms, but NOT the cause!!!! My child has so many cognative side effects from these meds and the office just does not care. Furthermore, getting appointments scheduled are like pulling teeth. Even adjusting the VNS, I sometimes wait 40 minutes for a 15 minute appointment. I was TOLD it would be quick & easy. It has been anything BUT.

Took over a year, but thanks to Dr. Madhavan, I have found out exactly what happened to me after a fall at work. Now time to get everything taken care of.

I have NEVER met a Doctor like Dr. Madhaven before!! Which is unforunate since he is an EXCELLENT doctor!! It is nice to visit a doctor who actually remembers who you are and what you are there for!! His staff is EXTREMELY FRIENDLY!! I LOVE Crystal!! I wish we had MORE doctors like Dr. Madhaven. Before I met Dr. Madhaven I had doctors telling me that some of what I was experiencing was in my head. Once I met Dr. Madhaven he figured out what was wrong within a few visits. I leave in Sioux City, but love making my yearly trip to visit Dr. Madhaven and his staff.

Arrogant. No personality ,pawns his patients off on case managers and pa. Does not take time, empathy or listen . Is judge mental . Don't go here if you want personal attention
