My daughter made me set up an appointment with Dr Shakir. I am sure glad I listened to her. I have MCAS and it is exceedingly difficult to diagnose. He suspected the cause of my anaphylaxis events on my first doctor’s appointment and requested the proper tests to confirm my diagnosis. He is very personable and explained my diagnosis in terms I could understand. I do not feel rushed in my appointments with him like I do with my primary care doctor. He is genuinely concerned about my health and makes sure I do not have any questions. Thank you Dr. Shakir.

Dr. Shakir was prompt, understanding and asked questions and actually listened to answers. Dr Shakir had already reviewed the past history prior to patient contact. He explained clearly. Dr. Shakir set up testing immediately. I am very impressed. The best doctor that I have encountered in years.

This doctor is personable, knowledgeable and completely professional. After our son tested positive for all the food allergens we were recommended to see Dr. Shakir; he educated us on what was going on, his thoughts about it and worked with us to make realistic recommendations so my son could meet his nutritional needs without losing out on an enjoyable food experience.

Dr. Shakir is hands down, the most thorough and caring doctor. He has walked us through every step of chronic and acute illness, referred us on when we needed additional supports, and has taken the time to research and explain new diagnosis. Dealing with a medically complex kiddo, it requires a lot of trust in a doctor to help make decisions. We have never hesitated working with Dr. Shakir. He is the absolute best and is a blessing to our family.

Dr. Ebrahim Shakir is so friendly and spent lots of time with me to discuss my issues. He is an amazing doctor who doesn't try to just give you medicine and get rid of you. He really wants to get to the root of your problem and fix it. Highly recommended!

I've been a patient of Dr. Shakir for several years. He is very friendly and very thorough in his explanations. He takes the time to make sure that I understand all of the options and allows for my input into treatment decisions. He is quick to respond to messages sent through the patient portal. He's also well-versed in the latest treatments and research for asthma. He was especially helpful during the COVID-19 pandemic in making sure that I had the documentation I needed for my employer and in answering my questions about how it could affect my health.

My son, now 6, went to Dr Shakir for peanut desensitization. Dr Shakir is great with kids. He takes the time to get to know his patients and understand their needs and desires and come up with a plan together. Desensitization is a little tough but he made it doable and got a good outcome for us. Today my son was given a peanut butter cookie at school and did not go into anaphylaxis! So thankful for Dr Shakir and his help getting through peanut desensitization!

Dr. Shakir is absolutely one of the best doctors we’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. He is genuinely interested in the outcome of my daughters’ health and goes above and beyond to make sure they are doing the best they possibly can. He’s a problem solver and a thinker.
