I have been a patient for over 13 years best doctor in Omaha as far as I'm concerned. If you want a doctor who cares and is up to speed on current treatments definitely see Dr s.

I relocated to this area, and initiated services with Dr. Shehan's practice due to the ratings listed on this site. I am very disappointed, not so much with Dr. Shehan, but with the entire staff except for his male nurse. The front desk staff was not polite, and the business manager entered the examination room while I will still puting clothing back on, and did not ask permission to come in. When Dr. Shehan asked if I drank alcohol, I told him no. He asked me "not at all" which I replied yes. I then said I can recall one or two times in my life where I have sipped champagne at a wedding. He stated he would put on the form I ocassionally drink, which is not accurate at all. During the very first visit, Dr. Shehan used profanity including the word s**t. I was taken aback by this, being a medical provider myself. There was no familiarity between us for him to use this type of language. The nursing staff called me, and demonstrated little tact or courtesy when calling.

Dr. Shehan comes from a large family of doctors.Several years ago, I was fortunate enough to be his receptionist so I saw first hand how he treated his employees and his patients.He is caring,great bedside manner;very intellegent and knowledgable;great communications skills and a great sensse of humor.He treats you as an equal.He is so down to earth,you feel like he could be your best friend andyour best doctor.I would highly recommend anyone to Dr. Joe.10 stars all the way and back again!;)

I have worked with and around many doctors in the Omaha-Council Bluffs area and have seen the good and the bad. However, after years of searching for a physician whom I felt comfortable seeing as a patient, I finally was blessed to cross paths with Joseph Shehan some 10+ years ago now. In my opinion, he is the BEST in the area and I would highly recommend Dr. Shehan as well as his nursing staff, front office personnel, as well as fellow colleagues in the office at Westroads Medical Group.

I would not be alive if not for him. I went by rescue squad from his office to Methodist and had open heart surgery. Always cks all records, orders tests needed, finds things others have missed, never late, meets as a team on my health with other specialists. He always has time to ask questions and talks about further treatments. Thank you Dr Joe Shehan for keeping me alive and going!
