My exam and time with Ryan was pleasant and thorough. When the Dr. came in I had all my questions answered and I didn't feel rushed. He made sure that I understood all of the details of my appointment.

Got a flake of steel in my eye on Monday, Labor day at around 3pm. Called and the on call doctor got me right in, and took it right out with no problems. Best experience I ever had at a doctors office. Dr. Abigail Jackson was wonderful! Can't thank her enough!

SO much waiting and walking from one room to another, it all seems so dragged out. I just told the eye nurse (or whatever they are called) putting my daily contacts back in would hurt my eyes horribly and he said the doctor said it would be fine. Even though I expressed how bad it hurts my eyes to do so. I know they have a trial pair they could have loaned me, as this is where I got my contacts and trials previously. If my appointment is at 11, I expect to be seen by the DOCTOR shortly after yet it is 1145 and I am still waiting. After reading the reviews, seems like time management is not something this place does very well. Edit: the doctor was very nice. So was the previous doctor I had seen, just wish time was more thought of

Don’t relay pertinent information to patients when confirming appointments and then cancel at the last minute.

It's all about the money... I have VSP through my employer and did not have cards yet in January... so my spouse who has separate coverage through UH, had gave the wrong insurance info. Since these initial apt, I had sent back atleast 3 statements with the corrected insurance information updated and had even been seen there afterwords several times since the initial apts for all 3 of my daughters. And they waited 7 months to tell me they don't have the insurance information updated (which they did for atleast one of my kids, thankfully) and that it's too late for them to bill VSP and that I need to pay out of pocket for all the appointments, as we were seen on several occasions there for each kiddo. I had them cancel all future appointments and I will wipe my hands of them... The customer service is beyond poor which is sad, because I thought the eye docs my girls seen were tremendous. We will find another doc/clinic. Why would a decent business wait 7 months.... when I've had several f/u apts and have brought corrected cards since then into the office, and have sent back multiple statements with the corrected info to tell me they won't bill my insurance for the initial eye exams? Unless you want to owe hundreds of dollars for basic eye exams and have them tell you too bad so sad... I'd recommend going literally anywhere else. As long as they get paid, they don't care if they screw over families with multiple children using their services.

My visit went well - staff is always helpful and tests are done with care. Dr. Meisner answers all questions and exam is done thoroughly. Since he has so many patients with glaucoma, appointments can run long - but it is worth the extra time. Thanks for your good care.

I have been going to Mid West Eyecare for long time seeing doctor Teri Geist. Doctor Geist is very knowledgeable, kind and caring and very professional. She always examines my eyes thoroughly with necessary tests giving me good advice to make sure I have good vision. Doctor Geist is also a good listener giving me chance to discuss about my eye condition and also kindly answers my questions. I will be seeing doctor Geist for many years to come. The front desk staffs and eyeglasses store staffs are also knowledgeable and kind and professional. On May 9 2022 I requested a female staff from eyeglasses store (wish I knew her name) to fix the alignment of my reading glasses and she kindly not only fixed the alignment but also put the nose pads that I lost. I was very impressed with her caring and kindness and friendliness. I feel so thankful to her that my glasses came out like new. I recommend this eyecare center to everyone.

This is great place to go for eye care,everyone is welcoming and professional. Dr. Appenzeller is honest and makes clear his professional opinion. He answers any questions and makes sure you understand.
