Nothing special
Had an appointment at 10am. Was taken back to a room then sent back to the waiting room. Then was taken back to a room again only to be sent back to the waiting room. Finally after almost an hour and a half of waiting, I finally saw the Dr for 5 minutes. This amount of wait time is absolutely ridiculous. The over scheduling needs to stop.
I was never so disappointed in a refraction as I am with my recent visit. A tech performed the refraction that resulted in my prescription for glasses. I thought she was just trying to get in the ballpark and the doctor would zero in. Dr Himebaugh came in, looked at my eyes through the slit lamp and said I was good. I could have simply gone to a optometrist and received a better exam, IMO.
My appt was lightning fast and I appreciated that. The staff was parent pleasant and efficient. I will definitely go back! Dr. Greder was such a nice doctor. 👌
Have known Dr Emig for 35 years Owe most of my vision to his skill Outstanding in every way
My appointment with Dr. Heimbaugh was just fine. However, I wasn't told that I could not get the pre-op measurement test for my cataract surgery while I had been wearing contacts, i.e. I had to have worn my glasses (no contacts) for at least a week in order to have the measurement taken. This necessitated my having to schedule another appointment to have this completed.
I will have to wait to see how this eye exam will affect my driving future. I was most pleased with Dr. Himebaugh and the service that I received. I hope that it all works out in the end.
Rating: ZERO As a new patient, i explained up front i needed a contact lens exam for monovision. My final prescription was for standard vision correction. Had to go through exam again. I was told that the dilation and retinal exam/testing would be billed to my high deductible health insurance as a medical exam. It was not explained that my entire visit would be billed against my health insurance, which now fits me with a bill for the entire cost out of pocket. I called and aske that they rebill the correct insurance, they refused. I have never had to pay more than $100.00 out of pocket for contact lens exam, fitting and retinal scans. My current bill: $396.00. What did I get for my money, a bad vision correction exam, no retinal images for comparison, poor customer service, and a huge out of pocket bill. DO NOT USE MIDWEST EYE CARE!!!!
I was in and out relatively fast. Also, Dr. Himbaugh was very professional and thorough.
Greatest doctor !!! Very devoted and committed. Has personality and professionalism.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
