Wendell Gibby's Online Review Report Card

Drs Gibby performed a sophisticated, technical, and lengthy procedure on me and I am VERY pleased with the results. His two sons (also Interventional radiologists) gave me a very thorough consult the week before to put me at ease. During the procedure a nurse was at my side making me comfortable and safe. I would recommend this group of competent doctors to anyone.

Dr Gibby caused permanent nerve damage in my leg. He had someone else perform part of the procedure, then never followed up with me post-op. In my interaction with him pre-operatively, he was condescending and ordered unnecessary tests which he never followed up on. Oh how I wish someone had warned me to stay away from him!

Worst experience of my life! Dr Gibby is unprofessional and lacks skill. Needed a tissue sample from a mass on my adranal gland. He did not prep me properly, I felt pain when he inserted the needle. He was inpatient and rude. Finally he started the procedure, the needle was in and he got a phone call. Instead of finishing the procedure,he left the room to answer his call. Needle slipped applying pressure to my diaphragm. Painful! Retured no apology and did not get enough tissue to test!

Had to reinsert arthrogram needle 3 times. Contrast was leaked into soft tissue, evidence of sloppy work. Not a musculoskeletal specialist, and did not get proper imaging of intended target. A second MRI at a different imaging center was needed to do what he couldn't/didn't.

I love Riverwoods Imaging. Every time I come in the office I am immediately greeted by the friendly front desk staff. The wait is never long even when the office looks like it should be!! I love Beth and her staff in the back they are always so caring and make sure that I have a great experience. They also send a thank you card each time I come to visit. Dr. Gibby has been a great doctor. He is so kind and makes sure I understand what the process is before we even get started. I really recommend

The entire staff was polite, caring, and professional. They did everything possible to make me comfortable and were considerate of my apprehensive about the treatment. Dr. Gibby was prompt for the procedure and made it as painless as possible.

If you want to be treated like a piece of meat, with the caring of a butcher I would recommend you seeing Dr. Gibby. I received a spinal injection from him and I have never, never been hurt so bad by a doctor. My wife could hear my screams from outside a radiology door and down the hallway, and through two rooms. There was no apology after the procedure, just from the nurse. She said maybe next time we should sedate you, I told her there will never be a next time. I can still feel the pain from the procedure years later. I would certainly NOT recommend this doctor. I would recommend Richard Rosenthal for any pain procedure that you need. If I could have given a zero star I would have. One last thing, I would bet almost any amount of money that the five star recommendations that he has received were paid for by Gibby or, he has had someone that has never been to him write them. I have personally talked to several people that has had the same experience as mine. SEE THIS MAN AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!

Avoid him at all costs! He made a mistake & caused irreparable damage. He refused to see me after the procedure.
