1 to 2 month wait for an appointment?!???! What if someone is in danger and we don't know it. Stupid !
Ive been seeing Dr. Finnegan for over 10 years. At first for small growths that she removed. But for the last nine years because I take immuno suppressants and the danger if skin cancer. Dr. Finnegan always does a thorough exam and has caught basil cells and removed them. And she always asks about other health issues and offers suggestions. She does all this and is always friendly and warm. My favorite doctor, of many.
Dr. Finnigan is one in a million without question! Our daughter has DRESS Syndrome and in the beginning was literally dying because no one could diagnose her but Dr. Finnigan knew what it was right away and knew how to treat it. She is extremely smart and has incredible bedside manner. She saved our daughters life and we will forever be grateful. If your looking for a dermatologist you wont find better.
Have been seeing Dr. Finnegan and her great staff for many years. I have always felt like I was the most important patient.
Excellent physician. Obviously loves her work.
Dr. Finnegan is patient, a great listener and very thorough. Her care and compassion for me is evident. Love her staff!, too!
Have been seeing her for years. Excellent.
Horrible experience! Do not go there! My 35yr old boyfriend needed to be seen for a swollen knee and blisters. He came home from the appt with stitches in his knee & cream. The next day his knee swell up to the size of a cantaloupe! He couldnt even walk! We went to the ER! The Dr. and nurses kept asking us why there was no antibiotic Rxd. He was diagnosed with cellulitis & could have become septic! We followed up with Dr. Finnegan after & what a nightmare! Believe me, the story gets worse! Run
They love to cut into patients without any explanation, discharge instructions or followup! She has a very inexperienced PA do her work while she is out at events/shopping...for real!! Do not go here..Trust!!!!
I had heard good things about Dr. Finnegan, but was disappointed in my experience. It appeared appointments were overbooked and the wait time was over 45 minutes. Dr. Finnegan apologized for the wait, but rushed through my exam seemingly anxious to get to her next patient. She took something off my leg, but didnt explain what it was. She left and her assistant bandaged the surgical site. When I got home, my pants were soaked with blood. Bad experience.
I told her something was wrong with my leg and she said it was nothing. Also i dont appreciate being yelled at that im dr shopping when Im allergic to all pain meds and lots of others. Even the girls in her office didnt think i would ever come back. But like a dummy i did. So i went do another dr and low and behold i have skin cancer on my leg. And i also do have alopecia which she said i didnt have. And to think i went to her for years never again. If your smart please try other doctors.
Love Dr. Finnegan! She is very attentive and knowledgeable. She can figure out what others cant. My whole family goes to her!
I believe that doctor Finnegan is one of the best dermatologists in Omaha, however, I would not recommend her or her office to anyone. Although she is a great doctor her office is beyond a mess. You call and cant get an appointment unless your willing to wait 68 months out. When you do get you wait in the lobby for a minimum of 45 minutes in which when you do get back to an exam room the exam is rushed through. The billing is beyond a mess. The staff in the billing office is less than helpful
I am a current patient of Dr. Finnegans and have the utmost confidence and respect for her skill, expertise, and genuine professional care. I am a health professional and consider myself fortunate to have her as my physician!
Very knowledgeable
Very thorough.
I've visited Dr. Finnegan a few different times over the past 15 years for various reasons. She's always been sincerely kind, friendly, personable and just a great listener. Highly recommended!
Found a melanoma on my arm. Very diligent and thorough with skin exams. Compassionate.
So I found what I thought to be a suspicious looking mole on the side of my body. It looked different from other moles so I thought it was best to see a dermatologist. I figured while I was there I could address my nickel allergy that is causing some irritation under my belly button and just generally inquire about what I can do to even out my skin tone and what products could be recommended to me. First off, I was a new patient and my appointment was set for 10:30 and I was advised to be there before 10:15. I get there around 10:05. The blonde haired lady at reception was extremely rude to me, but did not have an attitude with anyone else. Not sure why she was so rude to me, but whatever. I fill out the paperwork and I wait... and wait.. and wait. Around 10:45 I was finally called back to a room. The nurse too was a bit cold and didnt say much to me. Anyway she asks why I was in and takes my blood pressure. And then I wait and wait and wait. So she finally comes in around 11:25 ish. Almost an entire hour after my schedule time (completely ridiculous). And she has a male student with her. I am sorry, but that is completely unacceptable. I specifically scheduled an appointment with a female doctor because I was uncomfortable with a male doctor looking at me for this issue because the mole was on the side of my breast. It should have been mentioned when I scheduled the appointment or when I came in. It turned out to really not be a huge deal, but I can imagine that there were people that are much more concerned about that than I am. Anyway, the good news is that the mole that looked weird was normal. However she did not elaborate or explain anything further. She actually made me feel kind of stupid because she looked at it and annoyedly said its just a mole... Yeah, I know, and I am not a doctor either. So I asked her about the irritation and as it turns out my GP doctor gave me some bad information about what to do with my jeans and nickel exposure. Lastly, I asked about what kind of facial skin type I had and what products I should use. Without even closely examining my face or asking any questions she quickly spouted off several products that I should use. One of those products was with retinol. After I did some internet searching of my own, I fond that I should NOT be using retinol while you exposure yourself to the sun. I work from my car most days and I am in the sun for about 4 to 5 hours daily. Then she quickly vanished with the student. The whole exam was less than 5 minutes and I am completely unimpressed with her. There were times when she would just stare at me like I was wasting her precious time or something. Out of all the doctors I have seen over the years, I have never felt so embarrassed and unhelped. She seemed 100% uninterested in helping me. She never asked me if I had any questions for anything. I would never return to her or this facility. The wait times were completely ridiculous.
Super. Thorough. Took the time to listen and figure out a game plan for me. Excellent follow through.
