List of Neal Luther's Reviews
I wouldn't send an injured skunk to him for care. I suffered a c7-t1 fracture from a fall. Concord listed me as an outpatient for a broken neck. They told me i needed surgery then once they realized id rather have surgery in boston suddenly i no longer needed surgery. He put me in a Miami J and sent me on my way even though I was in severe pain. His PA Travis Palmer was extremely rude and condescending to the point where it was hilarious. I didn't actually see Dr. Luther until it was time to wash his hands of me. He referred me to a dr in Boston without contacting him so it took me a month to get in and by then my neck was already so deformed that the damage was permanent. Also in the notes they noted an interior fracture they never told me about. They left me walking around with an unstable neck for months. *3/4 facet. Im lucky i can still walk. My kyphosis was preventable. To top it all off he never even ordered an MRI. Lack of care, lack of follow up care, lack of compassion.
Didn't want to do a surgery that is needed, because of needing to lose 25lbs! Sent a referral to a private weight loss doctor- shady!
After neck surgery , after the neck braces were removed he informed me I did not need the surgery. I asked him Why did you do it? His reply was because the neurologist told me to and Ido what I’m told. I totally resent his answer. Why wouldn’t all doctors at least tell you to get a second opinion! I would never have any surgery especially if it was not needed, My neurologist told me if I didn’t have this surgery, I could be in a wheelchair and Dr. Luther’s Assistant, Terrance? said it was in her notes and that I could be wheelchair bound in two weeks if I didn’t have this surgery. I ask myself. WHY? WHY? WHY? When questions arise, or when a difference of opinion occurs, I would like think I was included because I would NEVER have a surgery that wasn’t necessary. This just plain wrong!!!!
Dr. Luther went well above and beyond everything I had come to expect in regards to needing spinal surgery. He was compassionate, understanding of how my condition was affecting every aspect of my life, and took it upon himself to directly contact a weight loss specialist in an attempt to help me with losing weight before it was safe to have surgery. Unfortunately, the situation became emergent and I went and saw Dr. Luther in person, and in less than 5 minutes I was told surgery was happening now. Dr. Luther was able to perform the surgery that some of his colleagues absolutely refused to do until I lost 100 plus pounds. His bedside manner is phenomenal. I have a long road ahead, but thanks to Dr Luther, I am in a much better place than before surgery. Thank you Dr. Luther, my gratitude is endless.
Dr. Luther is a fantastic surgeon and has the best bedside manors. Dr. Luther is a neurosurgeon that you can talk with and does a great job explaining the procedure. Dr. Luther took lots of time with me as well as dealing with difficult insurance company, I could not be happier with my experiences.
Dr. Luther has gone above and beyond what most doctors will do. He listens well and thinks beyond what is taught. His concern for me as a patient is like family. I am vey lucky to have him as doctor.
Surgery results beyond expectations EXtremely well satisified
Dr. Neal Luther is absolute best neurosurgeon on the planet and a caring & understanding guy. I had to have surgery done under local due to post concussion. My previous Dr. said you will never find anyone to do your surgery that way. Prior to my first appoint with Dr. Luther, I had 2 cortisone shots as recommended by previous Dr., honestly don't think I need to go through the pain they caused me as they debilitated me even more. First appoint and reviewing my file with Dr.Luther he had absolute

First appoint and reviewing my file with Dr.Luther he had absolutely no problem doing my surgery. He actually told me my herniation was very significant which was on sciatic nerve for 8 months, other Dr. never expressed a concern. In and out of day surgery few hours. The surgical staff from check in to nurses, anesthesiologist and Dr's were A+++++ Hugs for all when I left a happy camper. No more pain and follow up was super easy. Thank you Dr. Luther for giving me my athletic days back :)
Very, very disappointed with Neal Luther. After my wife's vertebrae replacement surgery, that he recommended, she's in worse shape than she was before her first visit. Strongly advise you to look elsewhere for help. Please don't make the same mistake we made...

All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
