Dr. Ahn operated on my back 10 years ago. He and his team did a great job. He was kind and his team explains everything until you completely understand what's going on and what your options are. I highly recommend him. When I went to see him, I could not move my leg and was in excruciating pain. Today, with surgery then hard work, I am pain free with full mobility

Dr. Uri Ahn performed my discectomy in June 2023 and it changed my life. Of all the surgeries (15+) in my life, it was one of the best experiences and recoveries. I initially saw Dr. Anh in April 2023 about pain down my left leg. He found that I had a herniated disc which was pressing on a nerve. After trying alternative treatments to no avail, it was determined that I needed surgery. I had the surgery at Exeter Hospital and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The nurses were very knowledgeable, efficient, and kind. They worked great together like a well oiled machine. The two anesthesiologists were amazing…I didn’t come out of surgery sick or groggy and was pleasantly surprised when I already felt the relief from the leg pain. Dr. Anh is confident but not arrogant. He is kind and listens well. He even took the time to properly align my tattoo which he had to cut through...not many surgeons would take the time to do that. Dr. Anh relieved me of my pain and gave me my life back. Ten months of incessant pain, all gone. The incision healed perfectly and the scar is barely visible. I highly recommend Dr. Anh as a surgeon!

Thorough explanation of my condition using the MRI and corrective action needed. I needed to have this done in the hospital and Procedure went as planned. Pain that was troubling me for 6 months prior was gone the same day as the procedure.

I had Dr. Ahn perform an anterior cervical discectomy with fusion and I felt assured and confident throughout the entire process. He explained everything and listened to my concerns. He is a no-nonsense, compassionate doctor who is at the top of his game.

My review contains a lot of detail to make a key point - Dr. Ahn treats the patient as unique rather than as an impersonal textbook medical issue. Years ago Instead of doing a complex operation that would result in restrictions he chose to approach my issue using injections and PT. It worked. The fact that he backed off from surgery greatly impressed me as a thoughtful person who did not view his patient as a nail requiring a hammer. In 2021 and 2022 I developed neuropathy - but no pain - in my left leg that became acute during a long trip to Australia in the fall, 2022. I requested Dr. Ahn. The MRI showed severe pressure in the lumbar area, appearing to require a fusion and laminectomy. After reviewing the MRI, he concluded that only a lumbar laminectomy was needed. Again, Dr. Ahn made a thoughtful, measured assessment which resulted in total success. The follow-up care was equally personal, professional and right on the mark with PT. The result - golf next week.
